That's gone up £50 from your last estimate, I've had another look & think it may be close to £289, so we're on a similar tack. 15033 came from the eligible voters in AAs rigged poll. I was just trying to roughly work out the gate receipts which we were told make up only 7% of income. I think the true percentage may be significantly higher.
I did say £200-£250. I suppose we will have to take Allam's word on the 15,033 but you get the impression there are more than 3,000 under 16s at games. He will have one less passholder as far as I am concerened this season.
As far as I remember, of the 18,000 season ticket holders, 12,000 paid full whack and 6,000 were concessions. If 15,000 were eligible to vote, then only 3,000 are youngsters. We need to address that as soon as possible, we should have another 5-10,000 seats and under 16's need to be able to get seats for no more than £10 a game, even if that's pay on the gate, not just season tickets. Kids are the future and currently the average age in the KC is probably mid 40's, if not older.
Standard Chazz random accusation of stupidity with no basis. He's actually accurate in what he said. Allam thought he could easily turn a failing football club into a profitable one and turn things around, because he's got massive confidence in his ability as a businessmen. It took him ages to understand fully the extent of the financial **** we were in and has since admitted several times he wouldn't have got involved if he appreciated fully how much it would cost him.
The main thrust of my post being that the owner is like a gambling addict who has developed a taste for it, and is punting more and more to get a return. But he's not gambling with his own money, he's gambling with Hull City's money. When he cashes in his chips, we'll owe him a lot of money. What will he or his family do when that day arrives?
I dunno what you're all worrying about. A fans collective will get formed, will easily raise the money to buy the Allams out and we'll enter a new utopia of an efficiently run club, Champs League signings, top 6 PL every season, standing in the ground, flares when we score and no stewards. It'll be brill.
I wouldn't like to make direct comparisons with what happened when Harold Needler died, but Ehab's suits are just as bad as the ones Christopher used to wear............
Um, when you're replying to the OP with the 91st post on a thread, it might help to indicate as much. It also might help to understand his use of quotation marks around 'the last game at Boothferry Park'...
Mmmm, a few people don't agree with you so you ask them to leave. Could you please do me the courtesy and stop writing (in every post) your anti Allam bullshit, I agree there is a lot of money at stake, but this guy saved us from going out of business. I don't agree with everything he has done but at the end of the day we wouldn't be having discussions like these if it wasn't for him.
Actually, it was on the third of October 2003 when Hull City played the last official game at Boothferry Park against Barnsley in a reserve team game. Isaiah Rankin scored twice when they beat us 0-2. I think it was when Ridsdale was running them and they were hoping to be near the end of their admin.
Is this something you're planning? Personally, I don't think you've got a prayer of getting anything like that off the ground, but I wish you luck with it.
