Maybe its because Watford "have behaved impeccably" and aproached the club first who've issued a statement straight away etc. He does seem to be a newbie and a silent contributor at Pompey.
This seems like a good appointment, especially as it seems the man who Dyche wants as his No.2. Seems experienced and well thought-of at Pompey, happy to see him come to Watford!

There is something here I saw. Dundee and Portsmouth both make comments about the Watford way of doing business. Is sad that Reading and Cardiff City could not have behaved this way also.
Good--SD was allowed to appoint his own man.First example of his judgement--looks sound--a man who has worked at youth and first team levels in a Championship club. SD knows his character, as well as his football skills. Good for our youngsters. Mr B not star-struck.
