Bit of a weird one but Burnley are about to sign striker Marvin Sordell from Bolton for around £600,000. Worked with Sean Dyche at Watford apparently.
He looked a real prospect at one point then the move to Bolton finished him. There's a player in there.
He's a Southampton fan, isn't he? He'd cost a bundle, as Burnley would be very reluctant sellers indeed.
It's disappointing that a newly promoted club would sell their best striker, you'd think promotion would allow them to keep hold of him, it suggests they're happy to take the money for a year.
Had a google and all I can find is their chairman stating ings will not be going anywhere this summer.
I hope that remains the case, it looks like Southampton and Newcastle are both after him, if they have any intention of competing next season, they really need to keep hold of him. They'll beat us regardless, the bastards always do, miserable Marney will probably score again.
If Marney is going to be making up their midfield, it suggest they're happy with just taking the money for a year.
