he would have still held more value for being banned for int games (where the punishment should have been) than including domestic as well.

Dont really see how Suarez suffers that much to be honest.
He will still get paid 200k a week or whatever the hell he is on, for sitting around playing Xbox for the next 4 months!
Sounds like a sweet deal to me, the only losers here are Liverpool and Uruguay.

its still only 9 games. if you sign him you sign him for 5 years. the ban doesn't really affect value.

If he got a 2 year international ban or whatever only this would still be the case.

If a player is banned by the FA it doesn't prevent him from playing in European competitions or internationals so what's the difference ?

The difference is FIFA have the power to ban players from all football and the FA don't.

 

Why? Usually, if a player picks up a suspension he is suspended from the competition in which he was participating in. They don't get banned from everything. The only time its a worldwide footballing ban is when its drug abuse. Are we seriously saying biting someone is as bad as drug abuse...?
