Yep, a few nice pieces of club PR for Adam.

Think he was asked about needing Champions League football, spotted the trap, and neatly side-stepped it by saying that not everyone who has done well in the WC has CL football. His answer could have applied to United and Saints, but the bit at the end suggests his situation next season is unclear. A good interviewer should be able to tie Luke in knots, but they haven't realised what a ditz he is.

Long as he gets on and plays like last season I won't mind. If he acts like he doesn't want to be here then people have the right to boo.

As for Adam, I will never feel quite the same about him, but as long as he does his best for us (which he would) I could live with it. His problem is that he won't be given the same amount of leeway when performing poorly as he got last season. For most, he walked on water...now he has feet of clay. I would hope no one would boo any Saints player, but Lallana could be in for a shock during an off day.

Agreed but everyone should keep an open mind until he plays.

Sorry if it's been mentioned but we are interested in Andrew Robertson from Dundee United as a replacement for Shaw.

Although looks like the cheap option, he could very well be a like for like replacement at next to nothing.

Think I saw an article linking him with West Brom.
Don't know anything about him personally

I've heard good reviews about him and another young lad at Dundee too...

... Where's Aberdeensaint when you need him? (He's probably on holiday as Scots usually book holidays during a World Cup these days - cheaper prices and they've nothing else to hold their interest) :)

    Sorry AS.

Ryan Gauld perhaps? I'm actually a Dundee United fan, Gauld is quality and has had Man Utd scouting him. I would love a double swoop for the 2 of them, maybe around 7million?

For £7m it would be worth the risk to get two of Scotland's hottest prospects
We need depth of squad too

He was probably the Scotsman in Brazil who went wild when Uruguay beat England.

Rickie - Gutted he has gone but can understand why and accept it.
Luke - United want to pay 30 million for a player who has had one season in premiership, go for it. He will be one for the future yes but he will be playing second fidle to Evra for at least a season.
Adam - Actually gone past the point of caring. If he wants out he needs to hand in a transfer request. Think Koeman should come in and decide on new captain. Morgan would be my choice.
Morgan & Lovren are the ones I don't want to lose.

    In's

Forester or Marshall - Boruc needs competition.

Like the sound of Pelle but only for the right price and hopefully Koeman could get the best out of him.

Might sound silly and unrealistic but I would take a punt on trying to get Ashley Cole. Released by Chelsea, still has a couple of decent seasons in him and this would allow Targett to develop slowly through season.

Two seasons, and he won't be second fiddle to Evra, reportedly he's been told he's first choice.

I have reservations about some of our players...as I've said before, I think they are better with us than perhaps another team...but Luke is the real deal. He is mature and strong and can only get better with experience.

Bendtner's leaving Arsenal. Anyone think he showed signs of improvement last season on the few occassions that he did play, and if he might be worth a punt as some strength-in-depth?
