8 million for Livermore and now looks like another 8 million for a relegated winger in the last year of his contract. Don't mind Snodgrass but when I heard they'd turned down a 6 million bid I knew we'd be out of the running and glad of it. 16 million for those two is shocking business, even by our money wasting standards. Brucie with a Visa
So just to clarify that's 30 million on Long, Jelavic , Livermore and Snodgrass before wages! please log in to view this image
Its our owners not Bruce. The owners keep saying that Bruce has no budget. He asks for players and if the owners think they have the money for the player they will buy him. And when I mean "buy" I mean loan the club money from their personal business and charge the club 5% interest on the loaned money with nothing going to pay off the principle. It isnt Bruce.
Sounds like denial to me. The owners never tell you lot lies do they? Of course there's a budget, don't be naive. And as you don't use a DoF it means Bruce will be working directly with the owners. Of course you'll say I'm wrong but I'm not making a scapegoat of an owner and laying the blame of everything at his door. So whatever fella. Brucie is doing a great job
It's a recent transfer story. Have we not just had threads on Gomis to Swansea and Barcelona's Transfer Embargo? I'm interested in football and this is a football forum and a football related thread. I'm not going to pretend Hull don't exist.
If I were a Hull fine, whilst I'd be pleased to see the club spending the money and getting the players in, I'd still be somewhat concerned about them doing a Portsmouth, Birmingham, Leeds, etc. Doesnt't it occur to them that there are bigger, more experienced clubs out there in the PL not acting in this way?
Don't get this at all. He was only -11mil on transfers in 3 years at the club Whickam was not worth 8-12million at the time, but he saved us 60million and a fire sale at the end of last year. If the chairman is willing to spend the cash for a player why should the manager lose any sleep over it. They are in Europe so need the players. Everyone gets their eyes ripped out in the transfer market not just Hull, I bet we do on one or 2 players. Just don't see where this anti Bruce **** comes from, he came, he done OK, things didnt work out (which happens to 98% of managers) and he was sacked, both have moved on.
I think this is more a sign of the increased TV cash coming through, than outright stupidity on Bruce's part. That said, he has to arrest the slide that Hull went into at the end of last season and I'm not sure these are the guys to do it.
Well that's it. They look to me like a promoted team being charged top money for average players, not a premiership team consolidating and building for European Campaign.
