It is a decent forum, but like I said what relevance has Peter Shilton being on Talk Sport to us on here? The way you came back is like he's going to speak about that injury, but I bet you he don't mention anything of the sort. But each to their own I suppose.
It is a bit Roger Irrelevant though isn't it Anyway Shilts didn't actually touch Cheesley that fateful night, the City forward just misjudged his landing and fell awkwardly. Sad part of that is, if it happened now he would be back and playing after a couple of months.
'Anyway Shilts didn't actually touch Cheesley that fateful night' Shilton landed on Cheesley. I thought at the time Shilton knew what he was doing, keepers never like being challenged. However, I spoke to Cheese about this a few years back and he thought it was accidental.
Shilts was the best English keeper ever. Better overall than Banks, bar that one save in Mexico '70. Had it not been for Ray Clemence and PS sharing the role when Shilts was the better of the 2 IMO, he would have won many more caps. For Forest and Leicester he was absolutely brilliant at times
