according to sky sports news he has been released. personally not of the view that it's a great move. Has he been given enough chance to prove himself? Harry clearly doesn't see enough to keep. Am I wrong to be disappointed.
Not seen the story behind this but so much for bringing the youth players through if true. He couldn't have done much more to prove his case
He wasn't considered good enough to play in our Championship team, he was only on the bench most of the time on loan in league one, there's no way he would get into our Prem team so why keep him? Let him go somewhere he can get some games!
http://www1.skysports.com/football/...rotherham-united-hoping-to-land-tom-hitchcock I've just seen this, a real shame. Out with a 21 year old, in with a 36 year old.
I am disappointed ( I admit to championing him through our dark days), but was also disappointed he did not make the field in the playoffs for Rotherham.... And that is not Arrys fault!!!!!!! Rotherham did not consider him the goal scoring wonder either (perhaps that is telling) He score the last minute winner for us, and a hattrick in 20 odd minutes from the bench for Rotherham....but not playing him in THEIR playoff final...makes me wonder. So a set-up to the Premiership....perhaps too much, too soon.
Much as we would all like him to be he clearly wasn't good enough, Harry isn't the only one to have overlooked him. And he isn't even a product of our youth set up lets not kid ourselves.
All fair points and we do need the talent to ensure we can compete better in the big league. Can't be too sentimental as the winner against Ipswich was a tap in that most would bundle over the line. Be interesting to see where he ends up (most likely a championship team) and how he progresses.
Agree with other comments. My initial reaction was disappointment that a young player is being let go, but after a moments thought, it is better for all parties if he is allowed to go and flourish at the right level, instead of wasting away in reserves in the premiership. Good luck to him!
He wasn't good enough to start regularly for Rotherham so he's no chance in the Premier League. Hard decisions have to be made and this wasn't one of them...
This just means we need 4 forwards now, he's not young enough to be able to play without being in the 25, wed have to waste a spot on him now so it makes sense for him to leave but not if he was 20 when he doesn't need to be in the 25 man squad.
I think the focus of QPR at the moment is to stay in the premier league and then establish themselves there. After 1 or 2 years they might start looking more seriously at home grown talent, especially with a new training ground.
This was what I was going to say. He couldn't even get a game for them off the bench towards the end of his spell there. I watched their play-off final at Wembley hoping that he would get a game, but sadly not. I would of loved to see him do well for us but alas it's not to be.
Let's stop romanticising. He was never good enough. But he will probably make a decent career in the lower leagues, good luck to him. Maybe some day he'll make it, like Rickie Lambert did.
