Also anyone who says LFC should be ashamed or are responsible in some way are talking bull, Suarez is the one responsible, yes he's brought shame on LFC, himself, his family and his country but it's all on him.

Re: the Ghana handball, other players may have done it but would have showed a bit more class than to be jumping around in ecstasy when the resulting penalty was missed in full view of everyone. The fact this happened in Africa against an African team (about to make a semi for the first time ever) added to the tension and profile of that incident. Disliked him from the moment as have many others. The other incidents post this have just proven what a low life the guy is (at least on the pitch) and helped fuel people's dislike. It's also ridiculous to award a pen and not just award the goal when the ball is clearly going in in such circumstances, but that's another debate.

Re the 'nothing Suarez does...', the point is not that other players haven't dived, haven't been done for racism, haven't scored a handball goal to knock a minnow out of the f.a cup, haven't bitten an opponent, haven't berated officials for not giving a decision they want, haven't feigned injury....it's that he does all these things. Some players have the odd bad trait, Suarez seems to collect them like a Scout collects badges. I literally can't think of a more controversial deplorable character in the history of watching the game.

I 100% agree that someone needs to give him a slap though

 

I'm just gutted that he's gone mental again. We were all pissing around about LFC England players maybe getting injured in the WC and how we'd prefer them not to go when really we should've been worrying about Suarez being taken away from the psychologists, Rodgers and amazing back room staff who have obviously worked out how to keep him under control and managed to do that not only for a whole season but without any detrimental effect to his contributions on the pitch. It's really no surprise that as soon as that's been taken away he strikes again.

 

Suarez is an arse- and has done many stupid things... but right off the bat can think of a couple worse. Joey Barton regularly got into moments of violent rage.

Keane went onto the field with the deliberate intention of breaking someone's leg and ending their career.


Suarez does really stupid heat of the moment crimes of passion- he has no impulse control- but he's never done anything to seriously endanger anyone's life or livelihood. He's more like a petulant toddler.

Keane definitely get's the award for most deplorable [famous*] footballer of all time. Suarez is definitely in top 10... maybe top 3.


* I'm sure there are worse, but they are not as famous...



/ On recollection, I'm missing out other footballers who have done worse things too. From theft, to drunk driving, to rape- all more serious than a serial hot-head doing stupid things on field. Actual criminals!

 

Tend to agree with this... I don't think what he does is malicious, it's an impulse reaction to certain situations and not deliberate or calculated. Quite a few psychologists were commenting on this after the Ivanovic bite. As far as controversy or deplorability goes it depends on what criteria you're judging those things by.

If what he was as a footballer is so heinous, why was he allowed and supported into management? Why does he get pundit jobs, huh? /For the record, I think the man is a dick. Just fed up of the "Liverpool" slant this whole affair has to it.

 

I'm not going to go into the whole opinion on Suarez thing but what I would like as an end to it all.

Dream scenario is.

Sign Sanchez
Sell Suarez to PSG as they'd take him and stump up the cash.
Invest in the rest of the squad with the money.

Suarez is like a guillotine with the liverbirds head on the block.

 

Like I said, this has nothing to do with LFC other than we happen to be the club that the loony tune plays for, anyone trying to make out that we are in some way responsible for him and need to be held accountable is talking out of were the sun don't shine. This was all Suarez.

 

Wonder how our overstretched casualty departments cope with all those potentially fatal arm and shoulder bites. Luckily they can turn away any head injuries caused by butts, punches and elbows, as they are obviously less life-threatening than dog, jaguar, wolverine and Uruguayan bites.

 

It's surely no co-incidence that the day the England plane arrives home with Rooney that a 90-year-old woman is allegedly raped in Salford. You don't see Alan Got away With An On-Field Assault Because He Was England Captain Shearer calling for a lifetime ban in all forms of football for him.

 

This won't have any impact on Suarez's future.

The plan remains that a deal will be made this summer for him to move next summer.

Can see Suarez getting a years ban from all forms of football. The fact he bit someone at the world cup, FIFA's pride and joy will go against him.

Blatter must be chuffed as this incident will take everyone's attention away from the fact he awarded the TV rights for Asia for the next two World Cups to his nephew, clearly a better choice than Sky, BBC and all those other amateurs.
