Welcome to BS3 Mark Little & Wade Elliott Former Peterborough United right-back agrees switch. City have secured the services of former Peterborough United defender Mark Little from July 1st. The 25-year-old has agreed a three-year contract and will join on a free transfer following the conclusion of his Posh contract. Manager Steve Cotterill told bcfc.co.uk: âMark has so much energy, pace and power to bring to the squad. He doesnât stop running down that right-hand side. âI think supporters will have seen last season the entertaining style of football we want to play here at Bristol City; weâll risk losing by trying to win matches. âIâve known of Mark for a long time and come up against him in the Championship. Heâs a young boy who is settled down with a family. âHaving spoken to him, heâs so highly motivated and brings good leadership skills and qualities to the group. Heâs a winner.â Little came through the youth ranks at Wolves, where he signed professional terms in 2005. He made sporadic appearances for the Midlands club, as well as enjoying loan spells at Northampton Town, Chesterfield and Peterborough. It was with the latter that he turned his temporary spell into a permanent switch in 2010, and in his first season Posh won the League One play-off final. After making more than 170 appearances for the Cambridgeshire club, Little opted not to renew his contract this summer, instead taking up the option to join City on a free transfer.
Broken by Jake Bugg...... My favourite song ever that.
According to Posh fans Little is a decent wing back. Not a winger or defensive right back. We'll see, but if it spells the end of Wagstaff - Happy Christmas.
The proper Peterborough fans (not the stupid kids who know nothing on twitter) say he is quality and can't understand why he has stayed in league 1.... I think we've got a really decent Right Back now, I like Moloney but hoping Little can be the best RB we've had since Orr. Little Osborne Williams Cunningham Looks very very decent and one we can watch for a long time!
We are beginning to have a decent looking back 4 for the first time in an age. And Cotterill is doing exactly what none of the previous 4 managers have done - his job during the summer months
