Robbery on two counts - Marney and Gardner. Livermore I'm sure will prove decent value over the course of his contract, providing we maintain our PL status. Is Daniel Levy the best negotiator in football? He screws everyone over for top dollar!
Because every media outlet is saying it's an £8 million fee, and for it to have broken our transfer record it needs to be at least £7.5 million, which I still think is over paying by a couple of million.
Got to be happy, but then it dawns on you that we have spent £8m and not improved last years squad (just made it a permenant fixture) Hopefully we will be able to sign another quality season long loan deal from one of the top clubs as I'm sure the transfer money pot is not that big!
We've announced it is our record signing and we paid £7.5m for Jelavic, so that makes him a very expensive signing.
Think of it as 5million last year with clauses of 1.5mil each if we stayed up and made it into europe
Hardly a shock but great news it is finally over the line. A very good deal for one and all. Only 24 but already a quality PL player who will only get better - Whatever the "actual" fee is. Welcome to Hull as a Hull City player Jake. Onwards and upwards as they say. UTT.
Not heard that tune for decades. But not one of Free's best imo. Not at all expensive. You get what you pay for. No longer are we shopping @ Poundland. Moved on up into Sainsburys. Yes they were but after the death of guitar player Paul Kossoff two of them were Bad Company. The fourth year is the clubs option which makes it even better news. May well help get Dawson over the line now.
You may have a little trouble over his playing number mind ? Unless they gave MD the number 13 shirt ?
Great news...Welcome Home Jake!! Now lets get Snodgrass and MD signed up. Well done SB and the Allams.
Like the positive thinking but if you say pot is £20m, only £12m left and we haven't strengthend. But its still good news!
We dont have a pot/budget. The Allams have always said that each transfer target is dealt with on its own merits. Something which Burnsy has also confirmed on many occasions. Also, we did rather get Tom Huddlestone on the cheap side for his ability and what he can do.
Ill just ignore the number issue, as well as the issue with the kit being from the wrong year. Everyone I have ever gotten a kit for has stopped playing for us the next season. If he signs for us then perhaps the streak will end.
It's a huge positive that we have an owner who backs our manager so much. I doubt if it could happen but I would like Steve Bruce to become part owner in some way . Well done Jake for WANTING to continue being of our team. if we do get relegated I hope we keep Steve Bruce. ( though I don't think we will go down )
Welcome back Jake. I Wish 'im well. Get in!
