No sh*t. You seemed to be trying to class things as fouls rather than cheating, I was merely saying it's still cheating. Obviously some actions are worse than others and what Henry did was a yellow card offence at worst. As I said, I feel some people are only upset because it was so blatant (and I too judge him for being not being a little more subtle) and because it had such repurcussions. Probably a few have sympathy for the Irish too. Meh.
As I said, the rest of the world, and heck, most of Britain included, have moved on, nobody is going to remember Henry as a cheat, nor has his legacy been tarnished in the least, dream on. Even the Spurs fans don't bring that rubbish up to try and tarnish the legend.

When it comes to this kind of thing, I think fans are a bit hypocritical. I mean if a defender gets away with a bit of shirt-pulling to deny a goal, is that going to tarnish their legacy? The real problem is that the referee(s) didn't spot it. I don't hold it against Maradonna for his goal. I'm sure he got called for fouls that were legitimate tackles in his time, and wasn't awarded penalties he deserved. So he got away with one here. **** happens!
Henry's handball isn't in the same class as maradonna. It was a yellow card offense and only got the attention it did due to it resulting in Ireland going out. As soon as he did it he obviously felt bad. He admitted it and even said he thought the game should be replayed. Henry will be remembered as a great football player both at club and international level. A group of bitter Irish people hanging on to that annoyance isn't going to tarnish his reputation amongst the vast majority of football fans.

That's just how football is. We like to bring up Rooney's dive to end our unbeaten run or Babel's to knock us out of champions league but we see worse dives from our own players all the time

Maradonna used his hand to put the ball into the net from above his head, Henry used his hand to control the ball at waist height. It was his cross and then gallas head that resulted in the goal, not the handball directly. Edit: and even though a load of bitter English people hold onto that annoyance at maradonna he is still remembered as one of if not the greatest football player ever. And most fans round the world probably don't think of that handball when they think of him.
Not a single time. Because I'm travelling round Europe and they don't give a ****. Like I said, people from one nation being bitter about an incident doesn't stop the rest of the world appreciating them. And overall there reputation isn't judged on the single controversial event.
