i original put "Was all fine come Sunday morning" but thought they would attract comments so change it, obviously I did a half arsed job
Would we rather have Shaqiri and Sanchez... Or Luis? There's a good hypothetical... Strong rumours tonight originating from Tony Barrett that we lead the race for Belgian striker Origi, who would remain at Lille on loan next season.
Tony Barrett @TonyBarretTimes · 30m Liverpool are closing in on a deal for Belgium international Divock Origi. Spurs are also interested but Liverpool lead the race. Who?
Make that 3 good goals! I'm more worried about him no longer being for sale than the price being too high. Shaq + cash for suarez?
If the value of our so called targets Sanchez and Shaqiri doesnt go up after their performances, then other clubs interest will, not a good World Cup for LFC so far, also our main asset may have reduced greatly The only one that has not done himself any favours is Lallana and he was never worth the £30 million wanted, not really even worth the £20 million supposedly bid, think in the real world, without the English Tax maybe £10 million, £15 million at a real push. No European side would even pay that for him, and as for £40 million for Shaw, has the world really gone that mad
If Sanchez stars in helping Chile knock out Brazil or Shaqiri stars helping Switzerland knock out Argentina then i think we can wave goodbye to those two targets Either other clubs will step in and beat us to it or there respective clubs will decide not to sell, due to the uproar from their own fans. I would be happy with Sanchez + cash for Suarez, but i wouldn't be now if i was a Barcelona fan Looks like we will have to settle for getting ripped off on Lallana, FFs Brian Luiz, Joel Campbell and Tim Cahill have looked better.
I'm assuming that's a made-up price tag to deter suitors, otherwise yes, the world has gone that mad.
I believe thats the case. First thing Koeman did was up the price by 10mil, suggesting he wants to say **** off to ManU. Only ones who'll be mad would be ManU if they did go through with it. The rest of the world would shrug and say 'That's ridiculous'
He did have a great game, but the previous 2 games he was quite ordinary. So his world cup has been a bit up and down. I guess if he does well against Argentian then we could be in a bad situation. Until yesterday, I'd watched him and thought yeah he's good but not all that, or certainly not as good as people were making out....but yesterday showed he's a class act. I must say the times I've seen him play domestically (not too many) he's been decent, but not amazing. Saying that I'd still love us to sign him AND Sanchez. Those two in the ranks with what we already have, and I don't even think we'll need Suarez. (or Suarez would simply be a luxury)
