    Rumours on twitter!

    Must be true then,

I think I would be happy with that if true, they paid £2m for Waghorn plus £4m in cash.

I'd be reasonably happy if this is true.

Its a reasonable deal baring in mind Nicky was one of three strikers that might havbe been starters anyway.

If we can pocket a healthy profit on top of two great seasons then I will be happy with Stead and Pitman.

I would be dissappointed, I'd have thought he would have had loftier ambitions he should be able to play in the premiership.

Still money talks and £4m + player aint bad.

I was hoping he would at least stay till Xmas and after scoring a load of Goals a premierhsip side would come in for him and some really decent money for him (after he signed an extension for us).

Then again I was hoping to win a prize at a grab a duck stall at the Fayre on the downs and ended with an even number! Darn

    What absolute load Twaddle!

Could be QPR in for a bid, if they get the £10m for Taarrabt apparently Paris St.Germaine has put a bid for him and QPR are interested in getting rid of him.
Hoping he will stay but depends on if a Premiership team come hunting, I would like to think the Board will stay strong and sell him to Championship team, sort of like shooting yourself in the foot I think.

I see the Brissle fans are still deluded that they are a huge club and that they can afford to hold out a 3m bid for a player on his last year of contract!

He played something like 7 games last season too if I'm not mistaken.

Chairmen say that they won't sell for less than a certain amount to bump the price up.

Anyone wit.h an ounce of business acumen will tell you that.

    Well see then.

But don't be afraid to come to our board on Friday evening after he has signed a new 3 year deal with the mighty blues.

I read in same story that said Danns was going to move to LCFC that the Maynard deal was dead as he doesnt fancy a move to a Championship side. The Danns part turned out to be right, perhaps the Foxes have packed up on Maynard.

It does seem bizzare that anyone would pay £4m for Nicky, when players like Benjani and Nugent are going free, sure Nicky is better, but not £4m better.

Lummie - Not sure it works like that. Might be closer to £2 million.

Leicester, because of no transfer fee for Nugent etc, are able to pay a lot more in salary, maybe double/treble what they'd pay Maynard - hence why players 'dip their bread' when out of contract.

Well i'm sure we'll what is going to happen come Monday, whether there's a big annoncement from Maynard himself about him signing a new contract or from the chairman saying he's rejected it.

Either i can't see him going to any championship side in the Summer,January maybe but not in the Summer.

Well here's to hoping he signs a new contract :)

It would be a massive boost to the club if Nicky signed, I dont want to see us out of profit on a lad who has ben a star for us, and even if he still leaves before the season starts we would know it was for the right money.

They say its the biggest contract the club has ever offered anyone, and when you think what we are supposedly playing James, Maynard could be about to "dip his bread".

It would be nice to allow KM to have a decent run at sucsess by letting him keep the lads he knows he wants.

    still business is business.

We heard from Neil Danns himself that he had spoken to Ally McCoist and wanted to play for Rangers in the Champions League, that was until he spoke to Sven and completely changed his mind.

    Jus' sayin'

If that freaky looking Scandinavians tounge can charm its way up Urika Johnson then its hard to imagine he cant talk nearly anyone in to anything.

I suspect its not nessisarily what Sven says, but similer to Uuuuuuuuurikakakakaka, the size of the wedge he can offer.

I stand by the fact I can live with Nicky going, but it seems like your sending a message to the rest of the legue saying were happy being average if we sell our best player to one of our rivals.

I can live with it if we pull the Foxes, Forrest, or whoevers pants down on price, but would feel a lot better if we sent him to the Prem.
