    I was just thinking that it's incredible that 4 of our 1st team squad played in WC games today. Has that ever happened?

    And I was so much more proud when Rickie played in that friendly. Odd.

    Yeah me too. Didn't care about todays game at all and with the adam and luke rumours I wasn't so supportive of them either. Ramirez and Maya are fringe players who were internationals when we bought them.

    More to the point though, Rickie was the first Saints player to play for England in ten years and had been with us through our whole journey. Thats why that meant so much to the fans.

    just a reflection of the way football & the premiership is.

    Plus our players were mostly only good enough to get into the worst team in the competition.

    Well Morgan was such a wonderful surprise. If Jose had had a late call from Portugal [I think they might have needed him, considering their defensive frailties] then I would have been even more pleased.
