Cesare Prandelli has resigned after Italy were knocked out by Uruguay earlier.

They're slowly turning into Scotland, eh Brady?

Ridiculous to think that the two finalists from Euro 2012 are out already.

    Fair play to him.

    Obviously a man with principles.

Really like Prandelli - he's been a real gent throughout his time in charge.

    Yes.

    Unlike Woy.

That performance today was as bad as I think I've seen from England.

Totally void of ideas or imagination.

It's the shape of things to come.

And Carol thought it was real good.

Defending it. Admiring it. Deluding herself over it.

He's too easily pleased, and simply just not a good enough manager for such a massive job.

The problem is the players not the manager.

Hodgson should resign or be sacked.

We barely qualified for the tournament from a poor group, then to be out in record time is too much to handle.

Even mediocre nations sack their managers after dire results.

As far as I can see, we stand to gain nothing by keeping him in charge.

Only sack him if you've got another one better lined up.

    Continuity needed.

I’ve seen no evidence to suggest that continuity will offer any improvement whatsoever.

If some players don't have the touch, the balance, the control etc no manager can put that in em.

Agree, but a manager should be able to squeeze the maximum out of his players.

    Hodgson doesn’t.

We’re far from world beaters but we have the players good enough to be able to have done much better in that group.

We lack the nous and the tactic awareness to allow ourselves to compete.

It's one thing having individuals' skills or strengths, having the collective inner strength and belief, and possessing the tournament killer instinct is something else.

We're like an African team rather than a European team in that respect.

Countries with populations of 3 million and with players who ply their trade in the lesser leagues of Europe have faired far better than us.

Our players aren't bad, some of them are good and one or two very good.

That performance today was rank, it was almost shameful and Carol thinks it was more than acceptable?

    GTF Carol.

Have some pride and f**k off.
