Bless Cabaye, he's still bigging us up to his French squad mates. Cabella has had this to say in an interview today:

“Newcastle are one of the greatest teams in England and Yohan Cabaye has told me a lot of good things about them.

“I have an agreement with Montpellier if an offer comes in that interests me, I will then reflect calmly and make the right choice.

“I have to make the right choice for Euro 2016 and I also have the option of staying in France, with Marseille one of the big clubs interested in me.”

Sounds good. Sounds like Cabaye enjoyed his time here. Not surprising, he left a better player and we acted as a great stepping stone towards the big time.

Of course this also means that Cabaye must have enjoyed his time under Pards <yikes>

It's hilarious I mean the only reason he'd come is as a stepping stone to greater things. We should change our name to how much is that doggy in the window.

How's Cabella getting on at world cup? Are we now even less likely to get him?

Not made an appearance so far, as far as I'm aware. Probably for the best, as this France team are even making Sissoko look good.

Or could it possibly be that Sissoko actually IS good and it may be something or someone at NUFC that makes him sh!t here?

Sissoko is a good player. A bit dumb at times but at least he looks after himself and has energy to burn during games, unlike HBA.

Sissoko is pure class. Can see it in his stride. He could be as good as Yaya with the right coaching. Problem is we have none of them.

The more time passes the more I realise british football coaches are just complete crap. i.e. see how everton play under martinez vs everton under moyes. Same players. Difference like night and day.

Now that LVG has been appointed we'll see a big improvement at Man Utd too compared to how **** they were under Alex Ferguson!

    Fixed.

Not sure you can use Sir Alex as a barometer for the talents of British managers, mate.

    Anyway, back on subject.
Hopefully we can get Cabella, S de jong, a couple of decent strikers.
Resigned to losing Debuchy so hopefully get Richards and a CB

I'm not saying every single british manager is crap, SAF clearly is one of the world greatest, I don't know about Rogers but honestly, I'd have any random german, turkish or dutch manager over Pardew, Keane, Adams, Big Sam, Chris Coleman, Curbishley, and so on and so forth.

And I'm sorry, the main reason the England team sucks so hard is Roy. Sven (a manager of questionable quality) probably had lesser players to field than Roy but we played some cracking matches in 2002 and at the euro 2004 in Portugal.

I do actually agree in fairness.
I think Pardew gets a rough ride due to resources he's performing with and I certainly don't want shot of him for sake of getting rid but if it was for a young, progressive manager that insists on flowing attacking football then I'm all for it.
I think we very much missed the boat with Martinez

Pards is a legend. Performs miracles with the resources available. Every time he has been given any sort of squad he has us punching above our weight. I'd knight him.

Agreed in regard to the first part mate. I heard on ssn today that the likes of Pardew should definitely be in contention for the England job. I nearly pissed myself laughing.

I appreciate you weren't. I was just on one cos my twitter feed has been full for days with calls to sack Roy, Roy's crap. Roy's ****, etc. It gets on my tits that the first response is always to sack someone and start again. We don't have world class players and we are not a top international nation. Apart from a few years in the late 60s we never really have been,
