As he gets ready for his big day in the World Cup tonight Ashkhan Dejagah says he's not happy at the Club:

"Ashkan Dejagah admits he may have to leave Fulham after their relegation to the Championship. The Iran international was one of few men to impress for Felix Magath's side last season and was named fans' player of the year. But the 27-year-old admits he will weigh up his future after the World Cup, saying he does not want to play in the second tier.

"I am happy to play for Fulham but not happy to play in the Championship next season," he said. "It is not really nice, we were relegated. I still have a contract there for one year."

"Obviously it is a great privilege to play in the Premier League. I did my absolute best this season. At the beginning of the season I didn't get the chance to play much but when Magath arrived I got the chance to prove myself and I think I did very good after he joined. I will keep trying my best to make sure I can perform well in the Premier League. We will see (what happens). The World Cup is the most important thing."

I agree out of our young guys Woodrow and Dembele are ahead of him so why keep him on, he's an Italian U21 international reckon we could get a million or two for him.

According to Turkish papers Beşiktaş are preparing an offer for Kostas Mitroglou.

"The Black Eagles are planning to replace Portuguese international Hugo Almeida who is expected to leave this summer with the Greek international. Fulham signed the Greek international striker for £11 million from Olympiakos last January however, a series of injuries restricted him to just three appearances.

The 26-year-old still has four-years left on his contract but is unsure about his future at Fulham."

If he's going, I'd prefer we sold him.

    A couple of tidbits:

    * Spanish papers are saying that Maarten Stekelenburg has been "offered" to Sevilla (no idea what "offer" means!)

    * Dutch papers are saying that PSV have baulked at a £5m price tag for Bryan Ruiz

I was reading the other day that Sevilla thought they could get him for free as we're 'desperate' to get him off the wage bill. If he has in fact been "offered" then we could see him go for free. It seems like a big waste of money for me but maybe we've only paid Roma a portion of the transfer fee and Sevilla agree to cover the rest of the fee if they take him. Hopefully we're not just out of pocket £5 million.

    Ruiz is definitely worth £5m.

Everything Jol bought for us will go at basement prices, without doubt all the purchases he
made we appeared to be financially mugged

'Without doubt all' is a bit harsh. We certainly overpaid on some, but Dejagah and Reither weren't bad signings, even if Reither's form this year didn't live up to his debut season. Karagounis is another big plus for his transfer record, as is Diarra (before the injuries). Berbatov was a fantastic signing if you judge him on his first season (and a disastrous one if you judge him on his second). Kasami has blown hot and cold, but I wouldn't say he was bad value for the £5m or so we apparently paid, particularly as the rumours suggest that if he goes this summer it will be for more than that. Like all of our recent managers, including Roy, Jol had some good signings and some bad ones.

I stand by my opinion, we were relegated with the worst defensive record in the
premiership. And I don't see any premier clubs rushing to buy, even at knock down prices.

Fair enough, if you stand by your opinion that we 'financially mugged' on 'all the purchases' Jol made, you must think we were done on Karagounis (free transfer), Reither (£1.2m, I think), etc. I don't see it myself.

And now it's the Baggies who are chasing Richardson:

West Brmwich Albion are considering a move to bring Kieran Richardson back to The Hawthorns - as they prepare to conclude the signing of Joleon Lescott.

The Baggies have been alerted to the availability of one-time loanee Richardson, who was part of the Fulham squad relegated from the Premier League. The 29-year-old, who has one year left on his current deal, can play in a number of positions in midfield but has primarily been used as a left-back by Fulham.

Albion have made initial enquiries about his availability but are exploring many options before deciding who to pursue to fill the left full-back position, although his versatility would certainly appeal to the club."

Nothing on the Sevilla website about him and a possible move.

The fact that 13 of our 25 man squad have already left this summer, with it likely that another 3 or 4 may yet still leave, really sums up the disaster of the last few years.

Are there really so few of our players last season that feel any affinity at all with Fulham? I find it all to be rather sad, actually.

Swedish papers are saying that Muamer Tankovic has turned down the Club's offer and that he's joining Dutch side AZ Alkmaar on a 'free transfer'.

This is a real shame. The Tank looked good when he was give his chance by Rene but for some reason didn't click with Felix. Of all the players we've lost/will lose, this I believe is the biggest blow.

Reports in Germany claim Freiburg will sign Riether in the coming days. Likely to be on high wages, at 31 it's best if we let him go. I'd be worried though if Zverotic is our number 1 right back so we'll need to invest or promote Grimmer/Passley.

Brentford owner Matthew Benham has tweeted: "should be announcing a signing tomorrow: MT #brentfordfc" and "initials are MT, its not taylor".

    That's Trotta off then.

Are wages really a big problem for us right now? Stekelenburg, Riether, Parker, Richardson & Rodallega (along with Mitroglou, Ruiz & Kasami, whom we are unlikely to be paying next season) are the only players likely to be on "Premiership" wages. We really do need some veteran players in this team, otherwise we're in for a brutal welcome to the Championship.

Just a stocktake regarding "premiership" wages and Surly's point about experience:

Out: Etheridge, Heitinga, Hangeland, Riise, Briggs, Kvist, Boateng, Karagounis, Sidwell, Duff, Holtby, Bent and Riether - plus Diarra (pay-as-you-play) - (13 players)

Rumoured Out: Stekelenburg, Amorebieta, Richardson, Dejagah, Kasami, Mitroglou, Ruiz, Trotta, Rodallega (10 Players)
