http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/agreement-made-for-sunderland-forward-to-return-home According to reports in the Italian media Sunderland forward Ignacio Scocco is to return to Argentine football. The 29 year old failed to make an impact with the Premier League side and will be going back to his to his home country. TMW have reported today that Scocco is to go back to Argentine and play for Rosario side Newell's New Boys. It has been claimed in the past few hours that both Sunderland and the Argentine club have come to an agreement for the player. Despite Boca Juniors also showing an interest in the Argentine international he has decided to return to the club where he started his career. Scocco came through the youth system with Newellâs Old Boys making his debut for the first team in 2003. He left the club in 2006 but returned on a loan spell during the 2012/13 season. Scocco arrived at the Stadium of Light from Internacional in the winter transfer window but he failed to make an impact at the club. He made only six premier league appearance in the six months he was at the club and played little part in the clubâs escape from relegation. It now seems Sunderland have decided to cut their losses with a player who still has two years left on his contract.
Curious as to why the Italian media has kept an eye on us tbh Ever since Di Canio they seem to speculate about us constantly, getting quite weird As much as i hope this is true, the last few reports on us have been hogwash
Apparently not ......... 17 mins · Sale of Nacho Scocco has NOT been agreed, as Snodgrass comes on SAFC radar http://t.co/dmrwPFmLeo
I don't believe there's a deal been struck, Nobody can afford him and Boca(the only team that could possibly raise the coin) has publicly ruled themselves out because Scocco has repeatedly stated his desire to join rivals Newels who most certainly can not afford him.
It's six months after we signed him. Why would they not be able to sign him back for a similar amount? Surely they don't waste money that quickly!
We didn't sign him from Newels fella. We signed him from Internacional in the Brazilian league, He was only on loan at Newels Old Boys and that was because they couldn't afford to buy him. Newels are skint mate, they want Scocco and Scocco wants to join them but it entirely relies on our charity, they can both **** off.
It looks like Poyet wants him anyway. Just Scocco wanting to go home permanently, which he has done for years. Scocco is going to have to accept it's not happening and knuckle down.
I wouldn't begrudge him moving home for free when his contract is up in a couple of years, so long as he gives his all for those two years.
simple as ,if he does not want to be here get rid as you will never get the best out of him and he will only cause problems.
I say we should kill him but make it look like an accident so we get our money back on insurance then we warn other players once they have signed for us of scocco's untimely accident and you just never know who else can have accidents....
Even if it means throwing millions away after only 6 months? What can we do Stu? The only interested parties can't afford him, we're not a charity.
