On loan from Chelsea according to the Guardian. From what I've heard, yes please. Not sure how much truth there is in it. Any lads on here who've seen him for St Etienne? Any good? http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jun/23/sunderland-chelsea-kurt-zouma-loan-deal
jesus ****ing christ Would be the coup of the century even on loan Lads a monster, anyone that plays FM will know him well too
Never seem him play in real life, but is good on FM Definitely have him for the season, obviously got something about him for Chelsea to pay £12m.
But if we are going off FM Purchasable options would be: Eder Alvarez Balanta Tin Jedvaj Doria Samuel Umtiti Kaan Ayhan Obviously just going off FM like!
Zouma in on loan and Williams on a permanant. Ease them in whilst phasing Oshea and Brown into retirement. Sounds ok to me
Probably in the top 3 most promising young defenders in the world, undoubtedly going to be a success. Needs game time but maybe Jose doesn't feel he's ready for the top end yet, seems plausible to loan him out to a manager who will utilise him properly, i.e Somebody like Poyet/Martinez, not Allardyce/Pardew.
Something about this post which is so spooky as it's so true. Is it just down to that English managers are ****, they can't adapt to the modern game, or something else?
Just a new breed mate, there's probably more to it than that but old foreskin faces like Allardyce and Pardew's styles just won't wash when you're being out-passed and out-classed by younger cats with a more evolved tactical prowess. The guys who have a bit of both tend to be operating at the very top, they have an answer for everybody, the likes of Mourinho, Van Gaal, Ancelotti.
Yet that red nosed jock at your place, was a master for decades. He didn't just build a team, he built multiple teams.
Wasn't just him though mate, as good as Fergie was he always had a brilliant bunch of staff, particularly coaches. McLaren was probably pick of the bunch, Queiroz, Meulensteen, Phelan, all due credit as well. Fergie was just the architect. I reckon Di Canio has a decent team behind him mind, bet they're a lively bunch to go for a pint with. I still reckon he'll end up a success you know, I think he was just over-the-top disgusted by some of the lads representing Sunderland and just got a bit too much rage, which was his undoing. Maybe a few Beta-blockers will do him a world of good!
**** me man, 'good on FM'. Prey for us people, prey for us.... Well, fortunately on this one, and as someone who desn't play FM, Zouma is so next level for us as a CB that the fact of him coming on loan sickens me, as we'd have to give him back for sure. Within 4 years he will be seen as one of Europes best, he's quick, he's strong and he's very good in the air. He was a bit suspect positionally but he was already improving as the season went on, and a big thing is St Etienne, and absolute breeding ground for talented lads (also, the second most succesful club in French history I believe), but they play high tempo passing football, so he is 'Gus ready'. I'd love to have him for a year like, just there is no possibility whatsoever of keeping, he's going genuinelly top end.
2 of us just noted he was on FM mate, no biggy its fair to see in games that the lads gonna be a fantastic player in due time anyway
Was light -hearted mate, I wasn't suggesting you cats were suggesting we base our scouting network around a game, although you could argue it'd do better than past regimes...
