OK... so I know "what" it means now- but I'm still curious why? Cabbage chosen at random as a farm product? Or cabbage as in a poor-man's food stereotypically. Just seems a bit random.

Surely leek-kicker would be more appropriate?

I first heard it in the primary school yard. By the laws of primary school yard it is what it is. Dont argue with it, just embrace it. Finally the humble cabbage has a use.

    My thread was closed :(

    I see why

I didnt have a problem with the vid being removed (it was bad and like I said on the thread was in 2 minds if to post it)

Also I'd like to state it was in no way an anti Islam thread or anti religion thread. I respect others beliefs, was purely for the animals <ok>

Anyone who tries to claim it was anti-Islam is clearly delusional mate. I won't bring that debate into here as it's not really the place but its closure just highlights the blatant hypocrisy and double standards on here and also the cliquish nature of the site. I'm not surprised it struggles for new forum members some of the stuff that routinely goes on. There were also points made in the thread that I didn't get a chance to respond to because it was suddenly closed. It's bullshit but like I say because I'm not part of the clique guess I don't get to have a say about anything.

I'm certainly not anti-Islam- I've defended them on most of the weekly, attack Islam threads on here.

However, I agree that any animal cruelty should be abolished. Regardless of religious affiliation.

I foresaw the way it was going which is why I left. I am tired of the 'religion is ***' brigade - we all have different opinions on it and every time something connected or even remotely connected to it comes up, all the usual suspects are all over it showing more hate than the subject they claim is so hate-filled itself.

I feel sorry for jonnybaws who's a Musllim having to read all that and feeling like he's been forced off the site because of it. Posters are dropping like flies on this board - whatever happened to respect?

I wasn't saying anything against Islam, if that's the way it was coming across then that's not how it was intended at all. I was just posting from a consumerist/animal rights/dietary perspective and also ranting about my particular bug bears with this particular forum. Nobody should feel like they have to avoid the forum or leave it completely. However it's difficult to find any enthusiasm some days to post or contribute knowing that some of the usual suspects for bs will be around on the wum or just looking for an argument for argument's sake. Take for instance our resident/visiting cave troll from across the park.

I really tried to steer it away from a religion debate, feel bad for Jonny now. Personally Im not a non believer or a believer. I've not enjoyed threads on an important subject to an individual being told they're wrong

A disagreement on footie is one thing, but religion is personal and no one has the right to say its okay or not

Anyway, im off to bed. Im off this week but only because in laws are away and wife couldnt get the time off as she has shows to go to. So im looking after our daughter, 5 am starts (on the dot, for the past 3 weeks <doh>) everyday then <laugh> more relaxing at work!

Oh well, Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters, Prodigy and Guns and Roses on I Pod all day with the LFC channel on, good times <cool>

    Night all
