I like Snodgrass but at more that £6m, I'd rather someone else fork out for him.

He's good, but we're reasonable well stocked out wide compared to other areas and at £6mil we can probably get someone of similar quality for less. Though that may be abroad :emoticon-0119-puke:

Doesn't seem to be much in the way of bargains at the minute.

What about Scott Sinclair? I presume he's surplus at Man City and I think we could get him on loan/rather cheap. That is if he isn't used as a homegrown player.

He's not worth £6m, things are getting stupid, it's no wonder so many do their shopping abroad.

Apparently, Marseille are only expecting £1.5-2m for Jordan Ayew.

I think we will pay it.

It's about par for what we seem to pay for everyone now.

I bet the player himself isn't too chuffed with the rejection of the offer...must be the cash up front which they don't like.

We do seem to have a thing for British players dont we.. We have more than enough now, surely we could spend that £6m on, as you mentioned, Jordan Ayew, a CB and maybe a young striker to replace Fryatt.

We must have money to burn if we're going to spend "a reported" £13m on Livermore & Snodgrass...

Things are definitely getting stupid. I looked up 18 year old Julian Green, the US winger who plays for Bayern B team. He is at the World Cup but hasnt played. Apparently Spurs are lining up a 5 million pound bid for him. He has only played like 45 minuets of first team football.

Hang on. We've got what, two wingers? One of em's permanently injured and the other is good but limited in what he can do creatively. I'd have thought a winger was near the top of our list of priorities.

There really aren't many at this level for clubs like us.

We're definitely looking at wide players, particularly on the left.

Brady has to prove himself again and assuming he does, he might well play LWB, so we'll definitely bring in a winger. I don't think Brucey sees Boyd as a starter and doesn't see Quinn as a wide man, we're light in wide areas.

Elmo, boyd, aluko, Brady, Quinn and Long could play out wide. And if its 5 at the back Rosie and Figs are also wide players and i'm sure dudgeon could fill that role as well. We need More defensive options and possibly a centre mid before looking at strenghtening wide players I'd have thought.

There was always a good bargain winger to be had from Scandinavia or the Netherlands, I haven't kept an eye out recently in these leagues, but there's surely got to be one there somewhere. Anyone know?

In any case, we've all agreed more than 6million is too much and there's cheaper alternatives out there!

Winger should be a priority, but I'd like us to sign one with genuine pace.
