I don't want to lose Suarez... but if we're going to lose him- I'd rather now than next season.

No matter how good he is- age is going to start playing a factor in how much we'll be paid for him.

I'd rather Suarez stay for three or four more seasons- but if the choice is £85million this summer- or £40million next summer- I'd rather do without him one season and get an extra £45 mill to try and recover from the loss of losing him.

HOWEVER!!!! With that said... I think if we can hang onto him this season- I think we can probably hang onto him for 3 more years anyway... or until we WANT to sell. This is the last danger summer... if he doesn't go now, he probably won't.

Good and important as he is to us, I just hope that Brendan Rodgers does not rely 100% on him being here to improve his system and his team. He will need a contigency. I personally think it will be a major surprise if he is with us next season. We have to start building around sterling and sturridge.

If he goes, I "hope" its on our terms.
I hope we can be shrewd enough (and these owners have proven to be so) to milk Barca/Madrid for has much money as they can get.
Some money + quality player then it would soften the blow..
Would hate to have to accept low fee and fringe player for him..
If we do sell then I seriously hope the release clause is one that can't be met to too much ease.
Therefore gives us more negotiating room...

Either way good luck to the lad, if he stays great, if he goes, then fair play, as long as we get a decent fee, fee+player trade in exchange...

Will add, the owners may not have been too shrewd under Kenny/Comoli, but they were "new" to the game and trusted people (Comoli) that let them down...
Fast learners, I don't think we'll see them make the same mistakes again..

Barca do not have a hope in hell. They are not in a good place financially and Neymar broke the bank for them. They will try and throw in a few players and we will say no. I doubt they could even stretch to a release clause of 60 million in cash, let alone 80

As for Real, we will see. I don't really see him being worth the money for them as Benzema does a good enough job and they have Ronaldo and Bale

Have you got next weeks Lotto numbers while you're at it mate?

Firstly, no-one knows what the actual buyout figure is. You can't say definitively that Barca can't afford him and you've no way of knowing if they'll chuck players at you (albeit you've been linked with Sanchez anyway)

A - Sanchez plus a bit of money..
B - Sanchez plus quite a bit of money...
    C - Loads of money...

If push came to shove, I'd go for option B, the boy looks special!

....and until one of them blabs it, then everyone else is in the dark.

  11. They may well chuck players at us but that would fail to meet the buyout clause whatever it may be :)

Unless of course, they meet said clause but give us other players regardless <laugh>

Ask yourself, if you sell your only top player, why would Sanchez want to join next season 13th placed team? Ask yourself Luv <ok>

Keep telling yourself that mate it might bring a smile to your face but in reality we have a lot of good players and will do well next season.

Wonder if Suarez could put up with not being the big man of the club and not being the player to win games. We've all heard the 'Give the ball to Messi/Ronaldo' talk. He'd have to play 2nd fiddle to one of these two.
