And Wanyama, whilst a lot of fans didn't actually see it.

I can see this (hopefully) being the case in more than one position. Granted heads might be turned by champs league football, high wages etc but I think we could really set the tone for the summer with a top draw signing or two early on. This will show the current squad we mean business and allow us to attract better quality players as well. This is why early signings like Pelle and Immers would be so underwhelming/detrimental.

Would be brilliant news if the first signing was an established international aged 25 or less from one of the top 20-25 countries in the world rankings. We can but hope....

Lots of Borini talk this morning, in terms of involving him in a deal for Lallana.

Putting aside Lallana for a second, I think Borini would be an excellent fit for our season. I wouldn't want him to start as an undisputed first choice but as someone who would slot straight in when required and has the potential to be an excellent premiership striker, I'd be happy to see him at SMS.

Not been convinced by Borini tbh. Think we could do a lot better.

Disagree. Playing in a better team, he could potentially be a 15-20 goals a season striker.

I agree with this. Borini looked super sharp for Sunderland this season and is able to slot into Rodriguez's role whilst he's injured.

    Like Liverpool you mean? :)

I'm not sure he'd realistically get 20 goals for us (or even 15), but I do agree that he'd be a useful addition.

I said potential aka the future. He's only 22 or something, in a few years he could easily be a 15-20 goals a season player for the right club.

Rebic, Origi and Borini would provide us with options and with three young intelligent footballers who can all play out wide or down the middle (+ jrod) and would get me quite excited.

OK none of them are 20 goal a season players yet and they all need to work on their game but it would give the squad so much depth and the first team so many quality options. They'd be more ecxiting, for me, than Pelle.
