I'm sure I will, he is a good lad and did well for us. Poor season last year but he was played in the middle, right is best, and he was knackered. Better players and used in the right way he will do fine.

Therein lies the rub. U19R has set himself up as the sole arbiter of what shouild and should not be said on this Liverpool board. He demands the right to 'rectify' opinions expressed here as though he was the avenging voice of Manchester United. I hate to tell him that there are many well informed posters on the Liverpool board already who are prepared to put an alternative view when required.

For my part ( and I freely admit to having been guilty of being drawn-in to this wumming), I am sick and tired of threads that have nothing to do with united being hijacked. Take the one started yesterday about Owen. It had nothing at all to do with United but with the feelings of many liverpool supporters towards Owen himself but is dragged off to talk about hernandez - who in the terms of the thread itself is a total irrelevance. For that I apologise.

I thank cyprussydsafc for his comments and it does give us all something to think about. many of us came here to get away from wumming and if the present situation is allowed to continue unchanged, many will leave again I think. Talk is good, both with fellow supporters and others who seek to discuss issues reasonably. Banter is good provided that it is controlled. However a deliberate attack upon the openness of this board will be to nobody's advantage.

To United fans I would say, if you want to relate all your thoughts and comments to united then go and do so on the board provided for you. If you want to discuss Liverpool issues with liverpool supporters than welcome.

The idiots were on 606 and were 1 of the reasons why i never joined that forum
There would a good article and bang it would get spoiled by idiots (mainly fans from other teams)

Now don't get me wrong banter is fine but there is always one that will take it a step to far (you know the ones)

Yes i comment on a Utd article on the LFC forum but i don't go on their forum

In future then (and this applies to everyone), don't set up a thread about Wayne Rooney being a diver or anything about a United player, negative or positive on this board. Put it on the United board if it's relevant and sensible. That way you won't entice 'WUMs' to post here. You yourself have posted 2 threads in the above-mentioned category BBF, so you can't complain if you get a bite or two.

EDIT: Also Bozz you can't blame the 'many United threads' on this board on the United fans, because how many of those threads were actually started by United fans?

I'm not here to argue, just to be fair.

The only thing I mentioned in that thread was that from my point of view I was happy Owen was staying at United and that it can be argued that he and Hernandez have quite similar qualities to their games. Yet you decided to take offense by that by claiming Owen was better than Hernandez. That is spoiling for an argument becuase I never said anything of the sort. That thread was derailed by you.

I really do not mind a bit of gentle wummery; but out and out nastiness is never acceptable.

I think anyone issuing personal insults against another poster should have his posts removed. Okay, so calling someone a clown or a muppet, or even a plum (as I have done on occasion) is acceptable in appropriate circumstances, but anything over and above that is not and never should be.

Say what you like on the Liverpool board but if something is posted that is rubbish then people will comment on it and offer a more sensible argument. Or show the OP up depending on the nature of whats said.

Its nothing against Liverpool on the whole.

    Come on, Eric.
What would you do with yourself if there was nothing on our board to entice you over?
You'd have to make do with the United one.

Hey, I've got no problem with the banter, infact I enjoy it. There's some good posters on here and debating with your own fans is crap really.

All's I'm saying is some posters make threads about United, or randomly bring United into topics ( not always United fans ) then moan when United fans post on them. A bit silly really.

Also United fans are going to have conflicting views with Liverpool fans but in some cases some of your posters call this Wuming ?

I post on this board more as there's more United related topics on here than our own board

Utd fans are welcome on here if they at least talk sense eg eric07, knobheads on the other had are not.

Just out of interest, there is one thread about manu on the first page but how do manu fans know if manu are mentioned on this board?

Eric, perhaps we call it wumming because it is continual and tiresome and very seldom positive. It seeks only 1 end and does not encourage debate upon the true purpose of the thread.

As you say banter can be fum eg. our exchange the other night on the Chelsea board. But we are allowed to have our own opinions, jokes or whatever without being continually harrased. Even you have had to tell one of your United posters to take it to their own board!

    Evening,

Just because we know how much you love us. The day I come here and there is no United related threads will be the day I stop posting on not 606 .... so I don't see that being anytime soon :)

SA - I know you were joking it was more aimed at BBF who is moaning about United fans being on here.

    Evening,

That was only because you posted a well balanced post asking to post it on our board rather than name calling etc.

I understand what you are saying, if it's none United related I will only post on the actual topic. However alot of the time it is your own fans who bring United name into the thread which is only going to get one response.

Maybe some of your own users / mods should try and keep United out of it out of respect for your boards users ?

Tbh, I don't think the issue is whether or not it's about Utd. It's the tone of the debate that counts.
If it's good humoured then it doesn't matter what we're talking about, but when it descends into a slanging match it's just tiresome. Some of the language people use against each other is just wrong. If you went into a pub and mouthed off like that you wouldn't keep your teeth for long.

I actually didn't ask for my post to be posted on the United board, I did say that discussion of United's financial affairs should be discussed on their board.

maybe some of the posters from the United board should not automatically feel that they must respond - especially when the United refernce may not be the aim of the post or the thread i.e. a passing reference.

The real problem here is one of 'rights'. It appears that some United posters feel they have the 'right' to intervene whenever and however they like. Whereas many posters here feel that they are abusing that 'right'.
