very true about the signing on ,not about the location though, looking back is very thought invoking at the time yes i was scared very much so ,family matters and loved ones to the fore in most peoples minds on the steam down there, once on station it all fell into place, took some 20mm cannon rounds which honed us up to say the least,i will go back one day with my wife and reflect even more.

When it came on the news and they said it was a sparsely inhabited bunch of islands, miles from the mainland, with more sheep than people I honestly thought it must be near the Faroes or summat <doh> I'd never heard of the Falklands.

A female deer is called a "hind" these "hind's" have a field of vision of about 310 degrees. A pupil about 10 times larger than ours allows them to gather in 10 times more light than us, which is why it is easy to understand why deer can run through the woods on the darkest nights without crashing into trees.

    Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing....good night

    did you know.

Venison originally described meat of any game animal killed by hunting, and was applied to any animal from the families (deer), (hares), and (wild pigs), and certain species of the genus Capra (goats and ibex), but in the northern hemisphere the word's usage is now almost entirely restricted to the flesh of various species of deer.

deer meat also can transmit cwd to humans a chronic wasting disease
