ESPN is US based. They tailor their coverage to Americans, just as the BBC et al do for the British viewership. Why are you so shocked? It's all about the ratings, which equate to $$$. If you're so disturbed, tune in to another telecaster.

No there's bias and there's taking the ****ing piss. At least BBC is professional about their bias, ESPN is just a joke.
And do tell what other provider is there. Because I'm not watching the World Cup in Spanish.
