This place does seem to have more than its fair share of WUMs, and most of them aren't even funny or entertaining, they are just plain nasty. Having said that, I'd rather the liberal view taken of such persons on this site than over on the original 606. Too many times, a genuine poster had posts or articles pulled merely for having the audacity to voice an honest and truthful opinion that didn't fit with the rose-tinted views held by partisan posters. The 'Pool board was particularly bad, I found. To be honest, I find the whole "my club is better than your club" thing utterly boring. A good bit of wummery (provided it never descends in nastiness) can be a welcome relief to the outpourings of some of the dullards on these boards.
