As opposed to the fingers-in-ears brigade who really do believe that everything's tickety-****ing-boo.

As Rome burns, don't expect me to piss on you to put the flames out, will you?

Who'd have thought with the Siemens deal, the COC2017, the resulting feelgood factor, the Cup Final appearance, the Europa League, a second season of Premier League....that we would struggle to sell so many tickets?

I wonder what the reason is.

I know I'm not speaking for everyone here, but I'll tell you that reasons for binning off watching City go beyond what's happening at the KC.

Football is rotten. Corruption, empowerment, a sense of detachment. The horse has bolted, shot-pinned and riveted the Forth Rail Bridge, and it's never coming back. Assem Allam is but a mere bit part player in all this, but he's feeding the process. And no matter how brilliantly the manager and players perform, the love for the club is akin to merely staying together for the sake of the kids/dog. But out of blind loyalty, we'll continue to feed the process, we'll spend money we can't really afford to spend, and eventually you stand back, take off the rose-tinted specs and simply ask yourself "Why?".

I'm at that point, right now. I can't continue to feed the process, I can't spend money I don't have on something I've very little love left for. And despite all the years of struggle, the years of metaphorical abuse, to feel this detached as we've reached the end of the rainbow should show even the most simplistic mind that you cannot continue to believe that where this is all leading to is a happy ending.

I'm sure nobody can predict the final season ticket sales with any accuracy but one thing I can be certain of is that the price rise will stop some people renewing. I know this because my mate has sadly had to give up his pass because he simply can't afford it this year. He is gutted about it but has no choice. For my part I have renewed. However, I've been going for 50 years and my passion for City is being gradually eroded by the present owners and I've never felt to dislocated from the club that has been my life's passion. That's quite a statement given the fact I and many other lived through the Lloyd/Fish/Buchanan eras. The paradox is that they seemed to unite the fans whereas Allam has succeeded in doing the opposite. So sad and so very unnecessary.

The owners are riding roughshod over the very fabric of our football club.

People will naturally vote with their feet. Those that allow it to continue with impunity need to hang their heads in shame.

This may well be your last season supporting Hull City.

Someone thinks all those years of non top division mediocrity count for nothing and a new identity is needed.....

Yes, step forward '1904'.......come on you MIMIV

I see all these managed to swallow all their stern resolve, had enough, footballs corrupt yadda yadda yadda and go to a Cup semi final and final, spending hundreds and hundreds of pounds at short notice in the process. <laugh>

Has it not occurred to you that people like me have taken their decision since the season finished?

Or are you being deliberately dense?

There’s always a catch at City. We become the most successful we’ve ever been, a million miles away from the doldrums of yesterday’s year in – year out.

Of course, it’s only to be expected for us that along with this success we have also an intransigent ownership who want to crumple our identity along with alienating more and more City supporters.

What the recent has proved is that, currently, we are not as big as we thought we are. We couldn’t sell out a FA Cup Semi Final allocation and we didn’t exactly sell out the Final in record time (everyone I knew from a wide section of Hull – football fans and non football fans – who wanted and could afford a ticket got one.)

Yet, despite this, the club seems ambivalent toward the prospect of losing more fans.

Most things I feel on the subject have been said by others on this thread and on others. But just to reiterate and to stress my underlining concern: I don’t understand how a City supporter, with any sort of shred of awareness, can just continually keep looking the other way whilst ‘this’ goes on.

Its why i don't buy the bollocks that its to expensive, its not, cut out two pints a month and you can afford the rise near enough.....

However the club are marketing season tickets far more this year than last so in my eyes we have either got our marketing in order or the club are worried about season ticket sales. Logic dictates which one of those is right.

I just think its embarrasing that after getting to a Cup Final finishing with the most points in the Premier League in our history, possible spending 20M on players in the last 6 months that we are not going to sell out season tickets possible. We should be falling over each other to buy them. The club has got to do something to build links to the fans, i don't think the name change or badge has anything to do with it. The club are not bringing the locals in at all, they are not driving anything.

Hope your going to keep going Mr Corner.

Its easy to say o I'm not going anymore BUT not easy to do .

I missed nearly 3 season and it really pissed me off and drove me nuts .

Play off season...play off final

All season one in premier league

And just made it to our last 4 games in premier league relegation season.

It sure was ****ty not being able to go.

People keep saying its OUR club.

Maybe OUR club needs us ?

We are CITY TILL WE DIE are we not

Sing it loud and proud

Said enough I know.

Just sad to think some of our long time fans might not be going

:-(

It's a staggering achievement.

To alienate so many people, that following the clubs the most successful season ever, we're not going to sell out season tickets at one of the smallest grounds in the Premier League.

I bet nobody will add this to their CV.

I have just renewed but it was lucky that I was told that I had to renew by 1st July to keep my current seat. When I read the leaflet that came with the renewal I thought that I had until late July to renew and so I was content to leave it til I got back from holiday. If anyone else has misread the leaflet and intend to renew then you need to do so in the next week.
As for the churlish refusal to even mention Hull City on the club blurb, I am as pissed off as anyone but I cannot stop going, its like a disease that I can't shake off. If, however, the long term aim is to franchise the club as per Wimbledon, then I will be have no alternative than to become a plastic at Church Road. Oh wait the Allams are in there too!

You have nothing to back that claim up. Season pass holders will renew by the 1st July. After that thats when all these hopefully new fans, on the back of two Wembley trips, have a chance to get passes.

We'll sell out. Early days yet.
