He wouldnt. Simple as that. Theres some pretty ****ing amazing midfielders of all kinds that played when gerrard did at his best. He would have got in some but not in others. Any midfield that requires intelligence wouldn't have used him. The more gung ho, go for it types would.
****ing Stevie was never ever a top player. I wouldn't have even put him in the top 50 never mind the best premiership player that a scousers supporting rag said he was.. If he wasn't in the team, he wouldn't have been in position to gift his racist mate the winning goal and England would have had a good chance to progress to the knock out stages...
He was very good but he stood out in awful liverpool sides at the end of the day. He would have been found out at chelsea had he left. By now he would be playing for west ham or sunderland.... Well on their bench.
