My use of the word 'even' means I wasn't saying you did. You're bigging up our chances for the future yet acknowledging we're not even as good as the team you're now laughing at. How does that work? <laugh>

When we can even come close to competing with the likes of England on an international stage (and by that I mean qualifying 'cos we can't even do that) then we can laugh. At the moment it seems like the worst type of sour grapes to me.

Got naff all to do with sour grapes because we can't qualify. I'm Welsh, hate England and glad the bastards are out. Simple <ok>

As for bigging our chances for the future, I am stating that with the youngsters we have got, we have a good chance of qualifying in the future with a fully fit squad.

Why hate England? Upbringing? Indoctrination? Because all your mates at school told you it was cool? Something in your past? Don't get it.

Hate is a negative emotion and rather pathetic really. It's why there's so much trouble in Iraq and Syria right now - passed down from father to son.

Let me ask you this - if England played Iran, one of the worst countries in the world for human rights abuses and maltreatment of women who would you want to win?

[Edit: Gotta run...beer calls. I see my boys are thumping the Swiss!]

Try understanding the history of our country. That might be a little start for you.

I think being Danish (independent state for 1300+ years), makes this hard to understand for me. You want independence of the UK, or do you just want to hate them?

So it's never going to happen. Falklands will be independent before Wales. Only dislike left then...

Who knows, if Scotland vote yes, I wouldn't want to bet which way that will go, as it seems to be edging closer to 50-50 with some polls, it might get some debate in Wales in the future.

I understand independence for historical reasons, but how would Wales do from an economical point of view, if not part of the UK. I understand that the synergy won't be lost, but still?

In economical terms, there would have to be a lot of work done before a wales can consider itself ready to dream of independence.
Then again, with Wales in charge of its own fate, maybe we would be able to pull in the required investment.
At present we are in no position economically to do so though, mainly because British investment in big businesses etc end up in the South East of England only or in Cardiff Bay.

Please don't misunderstand: but an independent Wales is sort of an romantic dream/ideal?

At present. But the Scots would have said that 10 years ago too.

I understand that: we have the same debate in Denmark: with the faroe islands, and Greenland of lately. There are huge mineral resources in Greenland. Denmark wants to be a part of the feast, but they want to keep it for them selves. Greenland will never get 100% independence: Danish investments are too big for that to happen.

I remember reading at the start of the year about the gold, oil and gas reserves there among other rare resources.
That could power the Danish economy for decades.

Greenland bastards want it to them selves... Well in fact they do deserve it. But they'll never be allowed to keep it: even if Denmark lets them have it, they'll be invaded by Russia!

There will be a lot of tension over the deposits there that's for sure. Aren't Russia already trying to position themselves to claim it? Could lead to a very serious international situation in the future.
