Glad they scored as it's bloody justice. After the farce that was the first half I was hoping they'd score to win the game.
Well done to him. Looks like one of the top coaches in the world knows more than most of our dullard fans. What a surprise.
Wouldn't this be the perfect conditions for tomorrow night's game? Rain, rain and some more rain, typical English weather?
Tournament map looking something like this so far... (Spain's exit has opened up a path to the semis for a no. of teams....Holland and Italy being the favourites to capitalize) To go through the groups I've got.... A = Brazil and Mexico (or Croatia) B = Holland and Chile (Holland have the goal difference edge) C = Colombia and Ivory Coast D = Wide open group still...Italy and Uruguay most likely (just) E = France and Switzerland F = Argentina and Bosnia (anything can happen but Bosnia seem to be a much better team than Nigeria and Iran) G = Germany and USA (Although both Portugal and Ghana are well in the mix.) H = Belgium and Russia/S. Korea/Algeria (no idea on 2nd place to be honest) Which leaves the knock out stage like this imo.... 2nd Round Brazil v Chile Colombia v Uruguay Holland v Mexico/Croatia Italy v Ivory Coast France v Bosnia Germany v Russia/Algeria/S.Korea Argentina v Switzerland Belgium v USA/Portugal/Ghana Q-finals Holland (though I fancy Mexico to upset the odds) v Italy (or Ivory Coast) Brazil (or Chile) v Colombia/Uruguay Argentina v Belgium (Portugal/USA have an outside chance) France v Germany Semis Holland/Italy/Mexico/Ivory Coast v Brazil Argentina v Germany Final Brazil v Argentina
Been away for a few days and got back to watch my team (Costa Rica) breeze into the next round. No chance they'll win the Cup but at least I'm getting a run for my money.
IF Uruguay beat Italy, that would be Spain, Italy and England out in the group stages, unheard of one would think
Spain struggled for years and years to get through the group stage. Only a handful of teams are regular performers past final 16... Don't know for a fact, but I don't see it as being that monumental...
