I'm not saying we should or shouldnt, but if we did, who?

I think Arsene Wenger would be perfect. But unrealistic.

Rafa is tactically brilliant and has a brilliant record in tournament football.

Hiddink would be god but is about to become dutch boss.

I actually still rate AVB to. I like his tactical approach. A job with out transfer might suit him.

    Could we persuade Sir Alex?

Sir Alex would make me cringe... would never come- but is probably the best of the lot.

I'd take Fabio back in a heart-beat. I think Rafa, without the responsibility of securing transfers would be amazing. I think our Rodgers could do a job (but wouldn't want him to leave us)...

Martinez would be a fantastic capture.

This makes the baby Jesus cry.

If we finish bottom of our group (looking very likely). Woy should have the decency to resign. First time in over 50 years England have failed to advance from group stages.

Will us Liverpool fans get the blame for 'hounding' him out?

    Probably! <laugh>

Although he should probably get hounded out for this comment alone: (in response to questions about whether he will resign after losing 2-1 to Italy and Uruguay)

Said it last night, Woy is going to escape with little scrutiny on him. Lowed the expectations to such a level that people blame the squad rather than the manager.
Woy is a terrible manager, only fit for underdog mediocre teams, which probably means he's perfect for England. Problem is that other countries see England as the big scalp so are England are hardly ever the underdogs.

Whoever is manager needs to have the balls to drop certain players, including Gerrard (who should retire from international), and also work out that just because a player plays for a big club (Man U) doesn't mean they are any good (Jones and Smalling).
And perhaps the biggest point. There are other English Right Backs and not just Glen Useless Bastard Johnson.

The Gerrard Lampard debate cost us so much. It also led to us wasting the career of a decent holding player (Hargreaves).

Rafa's never scared to drop some one or make a bold decision.

    Rafa would love Welbeck btw.

    Population of Spain 47million.
    Population of England 53million.

Approximately the same "resources" to pull from. Both Western European nations- we're a little richer, so, should in theory have finances for better facilities. Why then do Spain produce so many world class talent and we produce so few?

Barcelona produce a lot of it though. It is not the whole of Spain.

We look at our young players with a lot of pride. We call several 'potentially world class'. We must nurture them right and set an example. Maybe we can be Englands Barca.

Catalonia wants to split with Spain. Any hope of Catalonia becoming one political entity with England?... St. George patron saint of both England and Catalonia... have a lot in common... could do worse than having all those Catalans playing for England.

    1. yes we should.

    2. the reaosn being hodgson is too negative.

    3. i don't think the prem has any good candidates outside of martinez. (ruin tobes day that)

    4. you want someone to get the best out of the players and i think i'd still go with the type of game we discussed a couple days abck so whomeve rit is has to get the team to play prem football.. high tempo.

They can have Moyes back! <ok> They loved Moyes and worshipped him when he was with them before! <laugh>

Martinez would be great- fantastic manager and would rob Everton of a great manager they don't deserve!

What would you think of Wenger?

I really think his system and style would suit our squad. He is good with young players and is a top manager. His players really love him.

He has the ability to consistently do well- but seems to have lost that spark to excite players and make them actually win things. I wouldn't be upset if we got Wenger- but think there are better options.

i reckon avb would be a good option, and still young enough to go back into club football afterwards, be valuable experience for him as well.

love it to be rafa, everyone says he is a tournament knock out specialist etc when wumming us about a league campaign, so why not.

another maybe is laudrup, still think he has things to offer.

I think things may have just gone a bit stale between him and Arsenal.

    Jose mourinho.

He would take the job as well. We would win almost all our big games. Wont score many but nothing new.

And capello back <laugh> awful england manager. Hodgesons better.
