That's close to my demographic! I'm not a teenager and I don't dislike both of my parents, but I sure don't want to listen to Miley Cyrus or One Direction :D I just listened to an Archive track (Violently, I think?) and I enjoyed it, so that's a good start.

There's a high chance this one particular girl I know will be listening to it in no time, and going on about how she's unearthed a new hidden gem. She'll stop listening to her as soon as she gets too mainstream though.

The problem here is that JRod has apparently joined Twitter and thousands have been following him, he is a bit popular for some reason.

I think there are lot's of those people around, so you'll have a large target audience Sir! Talking of dark rooms etc I think the last band you could put in that category that I have listened to and really enjoy is Angels and Airwaves. It might not be strictly "emo" (although I don't fully understand that term!) but it is emotionally driven.

Yup it is. Check Distorted Angels too. Bullets is a top song and You Make Me Feel is probably their biggest (you might recognise it from Garnier ad). f**k You is a great track too, was covered by Placebo.

Yeah, part of the reason the UK media have never quite *got* them, but then is part of the appeal. They're absolutely massive on mainland Europe.

Same with my cousins band really big in the Netherlands but hardly known here. It shows the UK media are kind of boring and everything has to be the same.
