Fair enough. Not singling out Jags - there are a few poor performers in this England team and they're mainly the senior players who need to be phased out.
Do you backtrack on the above or do you lose even the last shred of credibility that our board loans you out of our generosity?
This is not what the video shows.... If nobody touched it fine jagielka having got in no mans land via losing cavani might have cleared and had cavani touched it yeah it's offside given Suarez moves to gamble on the ball coming through but it ignores the fact that both Cahill and jagielka were in perfect position and backing off as the ball was played and both let thier men go Gerrard made an honest effort and getting it and cavani jumped over him from behind....
It was cruel... went home expecting to see England lose. Turned on the TV and almost immediately saw Johnson pass a ball through to Rooney. GOOALLL! All of a sudden England were THE team on the field... and then we lost. Should have watched the entire game from tape instead of watching the end live as I got home. Disgusting of Rooney to score when he did and give me that false hope.
Jags didn't lose Cavanni though Cavanni was dropping off and playing off Gerrard all evening, it was a deliberate ploy from their manager, he admitted to it post match. You're making this **** up as you go along now. Suarez was offside, Gerrard ****ed up his header, the ball flies 20 yards straight into the path of the now onside Suarez and he buries it with aplomb, there's **** all else to add. I'm out.
Are you still droning on, dont you run out of ****ing batteries? Our defence was ****e last night and will be until we have better players. Gerrards got older and couldve had a better tournament as could plenty of others. The end
This is correct. Suarez was not offside when the keeper released the ball, had Cavani headed it and not Gerrard, it would have been a brave call as to whether he was offside.
Yet another fail He's stood a good yard beyond Cahill when they go up for that ball and Gerrard ****ed up his header, try watching it.
Rooney f*cked up twice over the past week? Or have I missed something? Oh yeah - he scored a tap in and got a solitary assist, whilst contributing nothing else from open play.
So he got an assist and a goal. Directly involved in allmof England's goals. What a **** ****. He should have been setting up the opposition shouldn't he?
this is true Tobes.... but. Suarez is not offside when the goalie releases the ball, therefore had Gerrard not gone for the balll at all, and had cavani simply dummied it, Suarez was through anyway. Indeed, I played at full back (too small for a c/b..) and always took the line from the c/b's, and we were always told to be aware of the possibilities of long through-balls being missed on their way through (you can't, of course, be offside at all from an actual goal-kick, but I digress). So had Gerrard simply not gone for that header and Cavani left it, we'd now be crucifying him for letting the ball through. It was 95% his fault - he went for a header he had to go for and ****ed up; but that doesn't completely absolve the c/b's for not anticipating. You NEVER play offside on a 50/50, which is what any headed challenge is.
Well.... Rooney for me did ok, not stellar but fine and he did contribute. He was way better than the other 3 attackers....
That makes him fractionally better than Johnson, but we didn't have t build our whole ****ing attack around him because the United-loving press wanted us too. And Johnson never hit the bar when it was easier to score and missed from two yards out either. FFS, when he missed that one the commentator said that had it fell to Sturridge's left-foot it was a goal - if it fell to ANYONE else's left foot it was a goal. Even Stephen Hawking's.
