It's clearly not though, it looks like they used a shield they found in Microsoft Word's clipart. Spurs and Liverpool's kit crest with just the bird and the name look classy, this doesn't.

Probably, Norwich and Wolves don't have their name on their badges, but obviously they're not Premier League.

On the press release announcing the new badge, there is not one single reference to Hull City, we now refer to ourselves as 'The Club'. Pathetic.

Why are we discussing whether it's a nice badge or not? It doesn't matter at all what it looks like, all that matters is that Allam has once again thrown a paddy, stamped his feet at not getting his own way over the FA decision and made damn sure that he won't be seen to not get his own way, so he's changed something else. Because he can't change the name he's just trying to remove it completely.

Instead of looking at marketing the club, or all the other stuff that needs doing, our club has been busy behind the scenes working on a new badge for no other reason than to massage the owner's bruised ego. It's all about him and his power, that's far more important than the club's success financially or on the pitch, to our owner at least. The design of the badge means nothing to me, it could be the most beautiful design ever, but instead of representing Hull City, this badge represents Allam and his hatred for the name Hull City AFC.

Agreed, the issue is nothing to do with the badge's design or introduction.

What's more compelling is further evidence of Allam's lack of integrity & trustworthiness.

Lies & underhand methods are fast becoming normal practice in the running of the club.

What grating my goat the most, this morning, is the lack of meaningful questioning & reporting of AA's lies, dishonesty & misrepresentation by the local media. They really are weak.

    Same I get

1904 Wikipedia (as in the year)
    Historical events of 1904
    Then Images previews
    Top news stories from 1904
    St Louis Olympics 1904
Youtube video tallest man on earth 1904
Youtube video tallest man on earth 1904 live
Then Hull City commercial 1904 lounge
Then lots about the nobel prize

How can this increase brand identity/recognition when nobody knows what the badge is for?

So we're now mimicking Prince. "The club formerly known as Hull City". Utterly pathetic and ridiculous.

That's it, its not about the change of the design, it's fine, if not as good as the old one. It's about what it represents, the obliteration of our clubs name, the broken promise of fan consultation, the endless stream of bull**** coming from the club.

It's the final straw for me, and my mate who has watched City with me for the past 20 years. I won't be renewing my season pass, I won't be giving a penny more to the mad old t**t who has ruined my club.

There's not going to be any consultation, nobody tells him how to change his badges...

'What the fans should be interested in - I will never change the colour, I will never change the logo, I will never remove Hull, I will never remove Tigers.

'These words were there for many years. The colour of the club, amber and black, is there. The logo is there. That's for the fans and I will never change this without consulting the fans.

Do you ever actually read post or just the bits that you want to read. Also for your information the text around the Tigers head IS part of the logo.

I saw this in the town centre a few hours ago and it seems clear to me that they were trying to bury it under the news of the England match, I mean how inept and disrespectful are the owners really when all is said and done? The badge is a ****ing joke and so is the way they couldn't give two ****s about the fans who support the club

Haha, I like it! Why don't they just change the name to Allam FC and have a great big fist grasping for cash as the badge... the ****ers! First England then this, **** me

Just "4" underneath could have been quite enigmatic. As it is, it's bland. It'd be better without the shield.

Just noticed, the 1904 looks more like 1 904 due to crap kerning. That's like first year graphic design basics.

Spurs use a simplified version of their logo on their kit, but all other uses of their logo have 'Tottenham Hotspur' written underneath.

Liverpool also use a simplified version on the logo on their shirts, though theirs does have LFC on it.
