We're all open to the ways of increasing sales; the only exception being the owner who has missed so many sales opportunities it is shameful. On it's own the new badge looks good, but where does our name, and which name, come into play? A question for everyone: I agree with someone's comment that consultation would have been pointless and needlessly protracted, but that really relies on the decision makers working in the best interests of the club - do you think they are?

The new crest retains the familiar tiger at the heart of it whilst also adopting a clean, stylish and modern feel as we continue to evolve during this exciting era. Another nod to the heritage and history of our great Club comes with the inclusion of the year ‘1904’ at the base of the crest, which makes the most of current trends in business branding. Speaking at the unveiling of the new crest, Vice-Chairman Ehab Allam said: “We are delighted to unveil our new crest for 2014/15. “This is a more stripped back and modern approach which still celebrates the Club’s heritage and history by focusing on our famous and well established Tigers head. We have also introduced ‘1904’ to the crest to document the year our club was formed. “Our first ever step into European competition is a new era for us all and we are all excited about the season ahead.” The new crest will be used on our new playing kit for the 2014/15 season, which will be revealed next month, and will also feature on our official merchandise, marketing, communications and commercial ventures going forward. The badge itself isn't too bad but it is the fact that we know it is linked to the name change that makes it unpalletable and also that the promissed consultation didn't take place, the excuse of there not being enough time is yet another lie!

A rebrand to improve our global profile, whilst missing off the actual name of the team, is truly truly embarrassing. You show this badge to someone who doesn't already know us, they won't have a clue who it is for.
Fair point but as we all know, this hasn't anything to do with global profile. It's all to do with a neurotic Egyptian who is trampling over the history of our football club because he feels aggrieved. Don't worry...those of a shallow disposition will forget all about it once we sign someone for £5m. Those with substance and some balls will continue the fight against the ****er.
though it does feel linked to the name change aggro Allam started , that they have dropped "the tigers" also should be noted . Its right though that nobody will see this as an idea thought to simplify the brands image but as a long winded way to make the name change to the club .
I think the 1904 bit looks a bit ****. Other than that I'm fine with it, the badge before this was nothing special.

I like the badge. I've seen people on twitter announcing they will not be renewing after seeing the badge, I do not get it, these people are the ones who think they are the true Hull City fans. You support your club through thick and thin, you don't stop because you don't like the badge or the chairman, you carry on supporting the club because you're a true supporter. I don't love this club because of the name, you don't start supporting a club because of it's name so why stop because of it's name. It's your local club that's what matters and if you're a true supporter you'll support them through anything.
First he took away our AFC then he took our city away now he has took the ****ing lot and left us with 1904.
I'm not a fan of Allam, however in his defence I reckon he thinks the 'logo' isn't the badge as such but the tiger's head. Even he's not stupid enough to remove the one image that is pivotal to his re-branding obsession.
