I can think of 8 players that there has been a reasonable link to. That leaves 4 that we dont know about unless the press links are completely off but I think most are probably accurate.

    Lescott
    Snodgrass
    Ince
    Mcguire
    Livermore
    Dawson
    Rose
    Williams

I think that the wise money would be Maguire signing for us over Wolverhampton. If the lad is as good as we hope he is then he would get many games. Trust in Bruce.

No need for gloom and doom at all. Other than possibly Lescott nobody we really need has gone anywhere else yet.

Lescott still not a done deal for WBA, so the door is still open. Probably just holding out to see if we'll up our offer to him..

It may come down to what he is on. Say he is on 50k, would he rather sit on the bench or come to us for a reduced wage (30-35k maybe). Cant see us matching wage and stumping up 4M in transfer fee. if that was the case, we may as well of upped Lescott's offer and still been cheaper over the contract????

I'd say that's decent value. He's a better player than Lescott too IMHO.

Also, if we get Livermore back, with Dawson and Huddlestone. You have 3 players in the team who know each other's game. That I think is important.

I'm still tipping WBA for relegation.

£4m for Dawson is ****ing daft.

    Husband is a left-back.

    It'll be one from:

    Rose
    Bertrand
    Taylor
    Husband

By the looks of Bruce's targets so far, it looks likely he's aiming for a 3-5-2 that can revert to 4-4-2 with injuries.

    --------------McGregor-----------
    -----Chester--Dawson--Davies-----
    Elmo------------------------Bertrand
    -Livermore--Huddlestone--Snodgrass-
    --------Long--------Jelavic---------

    Subs:
Harper, Rosenior, McShane, Meyler, Brady, Aluko, Ince/whoever replaces Fryatt

    Squad back-up:
Sagbo, Boyd, Quinn, Bruce, Dudgeon, Jakupovic etc...

I don't think Dawson offers us what i'm confident Brucey is looking for which is a 'left-sided' defender. Lescott would have been the better 'fit'. I think if rumours are to be believed, Brucey will switch his attention to Jose Fonte at Southampton?

Davies can play on the left. Davies - Dawson - Chester is a very good PL back 3.

SB may also keep tabs on what is going on with Swansea skipper Ashley Williams as he still awaits a new contract.

But Dawson ticks most of the boxes for us.

    SkySports transfer page:

The Sun claims that Southampton are ready to put fresh terms to Portuguese defender Jose Fonte in an effort to fend off mounting interest from the likes of Hull City and Queens Park Rangers.

The Daily Record claims that Hull City are keen on Norwich winger Robert Snodgrass but are reluctant to meet a £6.5million asking price.

None are natural left footers; its the reason i'm sure Brucey brought Figgy in 12 months ago
