What I don't get is bringing Lallana on as sub when he did. In both games that should have been Lambert. Lallana is the type of player that will run himself into the ground over 90 minutes and be a nuisance to the opposition all game. I don't see him as an impact sub at all, other than at half time.
Yes, and under Sven we got to three consecutive quarter finals, what have we done since? Even in 2006 after he was told before the tournament that he was getting the sack, we still managed to make it to the quarters. Capello may have not been a great choice, but we owned in qualifying and the players were to blame I think. Our two worst tournament campaigns in recent years have been under English managers: 2008 when we didn't qualify, and this one where we didn't get a single point. If you go back to Euro 2000, then that's three terrible campaigns under English managers. So I say again, why should the England manager be English?
I am going to stick my neck on the line here. I have a feeling the next manager could well be a recent England international who will have had zilch management experience at club level. Mr Beckham of course!!!! If you look at the likely candidates in club management who are English, the choice is pitiful!!!
I didn't really mean it. A foreign manager for me? Someone who knows modern football. That guy who used to manage Saints would probably be good...
Don't worry guys, we'll still get through.................... Admittedly I didn't see the game only the score, so I'm gonna assume we were just unlucky again
The problem is all these young players are playing for themselves. Sturridge, Sterling, Barkley, Wilshere. The one thing they all have in common is that unless they have an opposition player up their ass and their back to goal they will not pass. They all think they can do a Maradona 86. Sterling every time in the first half ran at people and lost the ball. pass was on. Sturridge thinks he can score from 35 yards for god's sake and again refused to pass umpteen times. Barkley runs and runs. Will not pass. Wilshere....I need not say anything about Wilshere, thank god he didn't get on. Gerrard has been past it for a couple of years and I've been saying it. I am so ****ing angry because the manager needs to get these players on the training pitch and give them a ****ing kick up the ass, Give them what for and tell them to PASS THE ****ING BALL instead of going for glory all the time. Just look at the composure of Lallana to start the move for the goal. In a tight spot, keeps his calm picks out the player in space and we are off. Did I mention I AM SO ****ING ANGRY. ****ing hyped up media **** players like Sterling, Wilshere, Barkley, Townsend. None of them pass. ****ING ANGRY. Right I'm off to play poker.
