Gerrard has been absent both games. Johnson just gives the ball away. Did Sturridge play tonight? Did Welbeck manage to retain the ball tonight? Hart hasn't seemed to save anything. Rooney has only shown himself in drips and drabs. Feel sorry for the defence. It's not the best defence anyways and they were offered little protection. Positives are the younger players (Barkley, Sterling (first game)), Lallana, etc). Probably do better playing the youngsters against Costa Rica whether we are still in the tournament or not.
There were a few of them... What annoys me most about football on TV is hearing a commentator use the phrase, "he's a real cute player" in every game. They can **** off.

That game was on when her Ladyship went into labour with our first. The ambulance turned up & I asked them to hang on 10 minutes so I could laugh on the way there. They gave the Mrs the once over & we sat there & watched the end. To be fair we called it right, the game was Monday afternoon & she didn't litter down 'til Wednesday morning.
Agreed, best team won. Not faulting the effort, but it’s about intelligence and class at this level, and Uruguay and Italy have what we do not.
I hope we lose against Costa Rica. That'll wipe the smirk of Suarez's face. Assuming Uruguay don't beat Italy.
