As much as I like to WUM and mock Rooney... do we really need him off? Or just keep him away from being a front man? He set up Studge against Italy nicely- and sounds like he almost did again now. He's useless as a goalscorer in big matches, but he can be a provider to others.

Don't count on it, Woy has almost a free run with this one, like the Euro's. Everyone will just say the squad isn't good enough and he did the best he could, which is half true. Certain players need to retire for England. Gerrard (good for us) Lampard who's just taking up space in the squad and Rooney who has never done it for England and never will now.

Quite frankly. With the exception of sterling, every player needs to have a good hard look at themselves. Some more than others.
Uruguay will probably beat Italy as well now they have Suarez starting! That will knock us out. (assuming Italy get a point against CR).

Gerrards been poor. Rooneys starting playing now we're behind. Where the **** is Sterling? Why did Godin not get a second yellow? This ref is the ****est so far!
No. Sterlings been poor as well. I mean if your standards are low and losing the ball is ok for sterling but not others then fine, but hes mostly ran at them only to lose the ball. Lack of experience obviously but hes not been good at all. Pretty meh performance. Couple of chances. Rooney should have scored. Gerrard, jag, johnson and baines have been dire. The rest not much better. Still in it though, if gerrard stays upright and sturridge can get godin to commit we could still get the win.
