Having just heard the song by MIke Waterson, THree Day MIllionaire. Please promote this strongly as the clubs new anthem. Sums up everything about being from Hull PERFECTLY. even the chorus would be a great anthem and would bring a tingle to my spine never to be repeated anywhere else in country (with the exception of Grimsby and Fleetwood perhaps).....DO IT for the real fans for a change!!! Thankls to Dazzer for the link...http://www.we7.com/#/song/The-Watersons/Three-Day-Millionaire

Have you sent them an e-mail about playing it before the match? It'll fall on deaf ears on here, otherwise, i reckon. Doubt many have heard it.

It's better as a terrace song during the game, it doesn't want to be played ahead of the game.

Never heard of Mr Waterson,my loss !

Agree with Mussie, this would be an outstanding anthem for us.

Play it before the match and hand out a hymn sheet so everyone can learn the words, chorus in dark type.

If we dont get a reply from the club, then circulate the idea to our fanzines !

Dont give up on this one, weve needed our own song for ever. This ones perfect !

agreed but the vast majority of the fans will not know the song, the meaning or its heritage. it has to start somewhere. free word sheets at the first three home games and two plays before each kick off would be a good start before momento rolls. Wise Men say...pah! delilah.....hahahaha......for once a song that will make yer hairs stand up on your neck, nobody else could call their own and more than anything it would mean summat!!!

Does this mean you think i am young and therefore ignorant about music? Of which i am neither. I dont like folk music, the vast majority of the country dont. This is a song you have just heard and it should now be adopted as our anthem? Really?

I didnt think putting my age on Febbos' thread was compulsory. So you are a little embarrassed now and are continuing the line i must be young and know nothing about football or music.
Oh and my first premier league game was Fulham at the KC same as yours!!
IF you mean when was my first Hull City game, then i have no need to tell you. As you seem to be implying if it was 5 years ago i know nowt. Looking at the ages on Febbos' thread then i was quite shocked at the young ages of some excellent posters. But as they didnt go to Fer Ark 20 years ago their opinions count for **** all in your book.

Three weeks or so up in Iceland fishing and three days home to spend it, I know what this song is about.
I'll tell you something any money you get from fishing commercially is hard earned!
I knew many a 3 day millionaires and they were fine people. They took care of their moms and grans and their mates in the pubs when they came home and some of them lost their lives doing it

when i was a kid you either had a first generation relative who went to sea, or indeed a close friend's first generation relative was at sea. We should celbrate our hertitage and this somthing which separates
Us from the rest of the football league. Stop trying to invent our future and look to the pride of our past. This should our very own 'sunshine on Leith'

Personally, don't see why we need this when we have "Oh when the Hull go marching in".

Maybe I'm too much of a traditionalist.
