Holeee Mackerel, that Chinese girl in the red dress and red hat. Had worked one out for the next race, but have completely forgotten what it was. (Oddy: Haenal akut Salbe is excellent for 'ring of fire' problems. You can then enjoy your Tabasco till the cows come home).
Mick Channon likes these Sixties Icon progeny. Gonna have a tiny bit e/w on Nancy From Nairobi here, and a small win bet on Inchilla..
The man who placed £100,000 bet on Leading Light must've been s*****g his pants in the closing stages. What a race Estimate ran on it's seasonal debut. As for Missunited, connections must be very proud. Great race to watch.
Wow. I thought either Leading Light would smash em up or fail to stay. Didn't really expect that battle to the line. How good is Estimate to go so close without a prep?
The week's banker lands. Leading Light. Great race and finish. Here's a thought, isn't it telling that the week's best race finish comes from the one that resembles a jumps race?! Roll on the jumps lads, the antipathy towards the flat is obvious from the action (or lackof) on this week's threads.
Well, recovered from the Chinese model, so will have a small e/w on Born in Bombay in the 5 o'clock cavalry charge at Royal Ascot..........
There's been a few posters saying the same this week - their opinion of course but one can imagine the vitriol that would be spouted if we said the same during Cheltenham I just think there's more posters around in March as everyone seems to take time off work for Cheltenham but not so much for Ascot.
"The lads" Who came up with that? the word conjures up images of young boys in short trousers. Great finish however, I felt Leading Light was beat and actually stopped watching him and then he found more. How often would you find Joseph O'Brian outriding Ryan Moore? Not that Moore did anything wrong, quite the opposite in fact as the determination with which he pushed Estimate through that gap said everything about the man. Jamie and a couple of others would have taken a pull and started working out their bad luck story for the trainer, Moore however made Estimates mind up for him and said ' you are going through that gap'. Credit to the horse also as brave as they come and kept finding, two quality stayers.
Slow farm animals churning through the mire does seem to be the more popular code for some reason Dan.
