The only remaining scenarios. 1 - if Italy/Costa Rica draw England are OUT of the World Cup 2 - if Italy beat Costa Rica, then we would need to beat Costa Rica and hope Italy beat Uruguay - down to GD 3 - if Costa Rica win, we will have to beat Costa Rica and hope Uruguay win - down to GD - Wrong We will be out Why do we have to keep prolonging the misery? Now I am definitely off to bed.
I don't know what would be better - us to go to the last day of the group and not be able to beat costa rica, or costa rica/Italy just to put us out of our misery tomorrow night! I appericate it could still happen, and after what happened to Wycombe this season then theres no doubts that anything possible, but it seems very unlikely to me that we will hold up our end of the bargain this time!
Correction The only way we could possibly stay in the cup is if Italy beat Costa Rica. Then we would need to beat Costa Rica and hope Italy beat Uruguay and it would be down to GD.
