^ Agreed. He will improve the squad for sure, if not the 1st 11.The European window opens next week though and I`m sure at least 1 CM will come in, Sniejder would be great but Fergie rarely does the expected. Maybe he will offer Arsenal £45m for Fabregas, if we could get him then great but if Barca up their offer then that would give us a clear run at Sanchez .I`m willing to take any victory over the Catalans these days!
ugh.if theres any truth in people saying jones and young were signed because they can play in CM as well as where they usually play,i will be very depressed. neither of them are exactly sneijder or de rossi, are they?
I can see Jones playing CM in certain games, like Liverpool away for example where we we harried and bullied off the ball.He excelled there for B`burn and I can see a touch of Keano in the lad(minus the psychotic tendencies). If that is the case that would leave Carrick, Ando and Giggs competing for the other CM spot, it doesnt leave much room for our star creator to be brought in.Hopefully then Anderson will come of age this season.
Can't see it happening on a regular basis to be honest. Maybe it'll happen in games like the FA Cup one vs Arsenal this season where we had an injury crisis and a lot of tired players so Fabio, Rafael, O'Shea and Rooney effectively ended up in midfield, or maybe Young will be rotated with Rooney in the SS / AM position. I think the people expecting them to play CM on a regular basis are just assuming we won't sign a specialist CM. I still believe we will
01 Van der Sar 03 Evra 06 Brown 12 Smalling 15 Vidic 20 Fabio Da Silva 21 Rafael 22 O'Shea 28 Gibson 10 Rooney 14 Hernandez this line up confused and scared me. A centre midfield partnership of Gibson and O'shea, the twins on the wings, Wes Brown playing for the first time in god knows when, but jesus it was great to watch :')
I remember getting to Old Trafford and in my seats and seeing the names being read out, I thought it was a joke. I honestly thought Arsenal would hammer us and then take the initiative in the title race. I think anybody doubting Ferguson's selections in future should just take a look at this game. It was pure genius.
clearly should have been how we lined up against barca. Pep would not have had a clue what was going on!
absolute masterstroke. couldnt believe it worked, but it was our most effective performance against the gooners since the 1-3 at the emirates in 09.
He just seems to have figured Wenger out now. Though no Arsenal fans point to our most recent game. I think Arsenal wanted that game more to stay in the title race.
Yeah that was just an awful performance, but in general i dont worry about matches against your lot anymore.
Not really true is it. When you won you needed Chelsea to beat us the week after but they didn't and you ****ed it up against Stoke anyway. You celebrated like mad because you thought you were back in the race.
Don't know who you are speaking for. All the arsenal supporters i know were just exasperated that we could only beat you when it didn't really matter for us.
