Well, here it is. Will Rickie play in a World Cup tournament..? Will current Saints and England players play..? Today may give us an answer.

Incidentally, I hope Gaston gets to play in this one as well.

    Lol, me too!!

Seriously though, play like we did against Italy, we should take this 2-0. But, of course, it's England.

Amazing to think we could have Ricky, Lallana, Luke Shaw and Gaston playing in the same world cup game. In time it will become less amazing but now it still feels bloody good. And this is despite all the recent upheaval and rumored upheaval. Hoping to see some saints in action and a good England win

    I have a feeling we'll score a few goals.

3-0 England. No creativity in Gargano and Arevalo. No fullbacks. 4-4-2 can't accommodate Gaston. Suarez probably not 100%. Can't defend set pieces. I've been saying for months this Uruguay team is set up to fail. They finished 5th in a qualifying stage that didn't even have Brazil in it.

3-1 England. England's midfield far outclasses Uruguay's. Lambert would probably score a hat-trick if he started.

Would be Caceres if he didn't have to fill in at fullback. Coates perhaps?

It's rumoured to be a 19 year old with only a handful of caps, can't remember his name.

Edit: just looked him up: José María Giménez who plays for Atletico Madrid. Has 6 caps.

Jose Maria Gimenez. Never seen him play before, but Atletico apparently signed him last year and have played him once.

Apparently it's going to be 13 degrees by 8pm in Sao Paulo with cloud cover. :)

Have a nasty feeling that Uruguay might nick this. Hope I am wrong, and that people stop talking about Rooney.

If Uruguay win England will have played really ****. Uruguay are a very average side who struggled to qualify.

One's out of form and the other's not match fit. And if it looks like Suarez is going to run the show someone just needs to take him out.
