Ask any tubby follower, they'll tell you - football causes far more damage to the pitch than Thugby League

Yes but even if League caused half the damage football does we would still have 1 and a half times more pitch damage than a non ground-sharing football team

Incidentally, who has paid for this new pitch, us or the egg chaser?

Edit: when I say us, I actually mean lord of all 24'639 who attend the KC, master of all East Yorkshire, Sir/Dr/Mr Allam!

In the original article, I believe the ground staff said that there's more damage during the football season, not that rugby caused less damage.

Given the weather when football's on, that goes without saying.

Despite being a Hull FC Supporter too I fear that the lovely new pitch won't be so new much longer. It is time Hull F.C got their own stadium tbh.

I agree. The KC is far too big and advanced for them. It also bastardises the pitch by having two sets of markings on it. Not to mention the fact that they can't actually afford to be there and the football club supplements their rent.

Pay up or **** off I say.

Yeah, I watched some Rugby League on telly the other month and when they go down they kicked up huge lumps of turf trying to get up while held. There is absolutely zero chance Football does less damage match for match in equal weather.
