No, to do a proper job you need a bath of Lemon Juice. Or Sulphuric Acid.

Try a 12 bore shotgun, never fails in my experience. Better than lemon juice.

I've got two cats but the neighbours ones seem to like to come into ours and nick the food, and scare mine. The magnetic lock doesn't work as the demon cat tends to run at it and beat it open.

What seems to work for a few months is to lock the cat flap from the inside so when they get in they can't get out. Have a washing bowl full of water and some over gloves. Dunk the cat into the bowl of water and then let it out the door. It freaks a bit and doesn't come back. All important to use oven gloves though as the talons are out and they make short work of the hands and arms.

Bitten by a part-coyote dog which was wandering my place of work and had to (temporarily, at least) put a couple hundred dollars on my credit card because the business one declined...just a typical day at the office.

When I lived in Kent we had quite an aging, but powerful female cat. As she got much older, tom cats used to chase her into the kitchen, through the cat flap, one very nasty one in particular. Our flap was a manual lock/unlock type, so we could intervene occasionally. But one day the tom cat started to piss and **** in the kitchen, and believe me, that's not nice. So he did it a few times and I decided enough was enough. I unlocked the cat flap, but set it to keep the cat inside. I got all the breakables and rippables out of the kitchen and went in there with a big broom and my motorcycle gear. At the appointed time my cat dashed in through the cat flap, and I let her get out of the kitchen before shutting the door. Then the tom rushed in and he was trapped. I belted him with that broom so many times that he was leaping at the windows and howling like crazy. I let him get to the edge of going absolutely bonkers where he was almost pissing himself with fright. Then I let him out. He never ever came back into our garden or troubled our old cat again. And I don't feel a moment's guilt about what I did to him to stop what he was doing. Afterwards I heard that he'd apparently been the terror to the neighbourhood's cats, so that definitely made me feel that my actions were vindicated. He was a bully and I bullied it out of him.

Yeah pretty much the same, its really difficult to be nasty to a cat when you've got them yourselves but it has to be done sometimes. The one that kept on coming in was scaring mine so much she was weeing in corners and stuff out of fright. Spoke to the vets thinking it maybe a urine infection or something but she was sure it was the other cats. The vet basically said do whatever you can to keep the other cats from coming in. Certainly didn't condone my dunking actions.
