He's in his normal position: on the bench.

I wonder who will get the most game time this evening between Gaston, Lallana and Rickie.

(Hopefully it wont be nothing between them).

I'd think Adam will get on when people tire. Possibly Rickie for Rooney too.

I can see Lallana being a sub, depending on circumstances. If we're holding onto a lead it's more likely to be Milner I suppose.

ITV stating that there are unconfirmed reports that Stirling is starting over Lallana.

Should have too much for Cameroon...After seeing them against Mexico I fancy Dejan to get one from a corner!

Shaw set to start on Tuesday against Costa Rica. Hopefully Lallana will get a bit more time too.

If Lallana doesn't start I'm actually going to begin wondering if he has angered Hodgson by supposedly farting around trying to get his move while on England duty when instructed not to. I don't think Lallana has been quite as devious and scheming as some would think in trying trying to engineer an exit but other than that I struggle to understand how he could have gone from golden boy and one of the best players in the league last season to afterthought. I suppose incompetence is also another explanation...

Yep. That continued use of Welbeck as starter and Adam from bench still confuses me. Completely the wrong way round for any number of reasons.

Also may depend on what Adam has done in training. Let's hope he and Rickie get more time. A bit sorry for SRL....hope he got something out of this WC as he won't get another chance. A goal would provide a nice end to his autobiography.

I know that people said Sterling was good in training but you have to wonder how he managed to get ahead of Lallana. Yes, Sterling has pace but he gives the ball away too regularly and should have been an impact sub. There was no way Sterling could get in behind Uruguay as they were so deep and a player who could keep the ball in tight positions would have been better in my opinion. However, I would also have picked Cole ahead of Baines so there we go...
