I imagine The Fugue will skip the Arc in favour of Breeders' Cup. It's the worst kept secret in Newmarket that she's quite a heavy bleeder and often trained using Lasix, so the opportunity to use it on race day will appeal as it did last year.
Got to say flat racing just doesn't do it for me. Surprised Treve lost. She's disappointed twice now.
Treve just doesnt look the same horse now, the signs were there with the reports of her not being as fiery in her work and not travelling with her normal power in the Ganay, was beat before they turned in today. The Fugue is a bookie horse so not surprised it was her to win today, but Treve couldnt even get past Magician anyway so irrelevant.
The Arc does look to be set up for a Japanese winner. It would be great for the sport if that was to happen.
Happy to see trainer Johnny Murtagh bag 3rd spot with Purr Along, hopefully he will get a RA winner soon. Anthem Alexander was very impressive, well done Beefy there and The Fugue was simply too good for them all on that ground, great performances.
